I’m a fan of Corey, and I wish he’d gotten a chance to get to the NFL.  Apparently he’s gone a slightly different way…. This morning I saw him hosting a show on NBC:  One Team: The Power of Sports.

Glad to see him getting a TV hosting gig in addition to ND sideline presence on the home game broadcasts.

Yup. He doesn't  need the money, wants to make an impact. Was Student body President at Notre Dame. I think a Rhodes Scholar or something equally amazing.  He's  the type that may run the country one day.

Dad went to the Naval Academy

I’m also a huge fan of his dad

I actually think he did the right thing for him. The dude was a brilliant student and knew that his future in the NFL was extremely limited, so he went straight into building a professional career using his name, charm, and intelligence. He is already calling bowl games, the sky is the limit for the dude. I wish him good luck and I think he will have a longer high paying career than many of his NFL brethen.

Probably did not hurt to have The Admiral as his father to help open some doors. Nothing wrong with using family connections and that is how there are multiple families with multiple generations of sports announcers (Collinsworth, Buck, Carey, Albert, etc.)
