It should be. Freeman was basically an interim head coach. Nobody ever blames an interim head coach for a loss. They always say it was the other coaches team, he didn’t have his coaches, his players e

Haha - too funny.  You're comments are hilarious.  What a baseless post.

Wrong.

Saying we should fire Rees after 1 game just shows how much you just get off on shit stirring.

Maybe in time we’ll decide he’s not good enough, but after what he did this year and what ND gave him, he deserves his shot. I say 2 years. Hell, you were prepared to keep BK forever and he never won a Bowl game or developed a QB

We need a DC, that much is obvious and answers my question on a previous thread as to why Elston had never moved up to DC. But he does a good job with DL. Whether he decides to stay on to do just that is unknown.

Alexander, yup. We need a real WR coach. DB/Safety coaches also need to SERIOUSLY look at themselves here, today was embarassing. Then again, when you practice again subpar WRs….

For a defensive coordinator to have not plan for a tempo attack is inexcusable. I have seen 4 Cowpoke games this year, 3 in the last 5ish weeks. This is what they do. This is what their conference does. Yet, it seemed to hit ND like a surprise dick to the football face.

They are an above average program until they show otherwise. They were that way under Kelly also; we just have 12 years of data behind offerings.

Exactly, it’s like no one practiced since the coaching announcement and everyone lived on kool-aid. Well, honeymoon’s over, kids are on their way, time to make the marriage work now

1 game? He’s been the OC 2 yrs and QB coach for 5 yrs. He’s done nothing to deserve his position

Most of football disagrees with you on what Rees has achieved last 2 years.

But you know, your opinion man…

What has he achieved? Seriously, Book was just ok and Coan didn’t make any strides.

I agree 100% except for Tommy

We’ve established today that BK wasn’t the problem and Tommy is basically BK Lite.

We know he can develop QB’s into game managers who can win lots of regular season games… the most in school history to be specific… We also know he loves to chuck it and we know that’s how you win football games these days

Rees is awful. He won’t have Buchner ready for week 1. And game managers don’t win titles.

It’s easy to overachieve when your ceiling is low.

So Sean Payton is worse than Rees? And Wiscy’s coaches worse than Rees as well? Gotcha.

I don’t disagree with any of these sentences. I also don’t think this has anything to do with the bullshit topic you started.

Wisky isn’t winning a Title, so they’re not in the discussion. What does Payton have to do with this.

Yeah, Mike Elston is not qualified to be DC.

Love how you casually dismiss arguments you don’t like.

How is Wisconsin’s coaching staff not relevant.  They are a winning team in a Power 5 conference. You would consider the OC Coan was under worse than Rees, or not?

And Book sure as hell didn’t look like a HOF against Miami. Ain’t Peyton a genius OC slash QB whisperer?   And yes, I know what you’ll say : “ that was against NFL caliber talent , blabla”. Point is, Sean wasn’t able to coach him up.

Overall point, both looked better under Rees at ND then their previous/post stops.

But hey, feel free to pick away and offer your counter opinion, ooops sorry, argument
