Glad we didn't go after Matt Campbell, this ISU team is pretty pedestrian.

Agreed . 20-3 Clemson good coach just not sure the result would be different then BK. Freeman gives me hope in terms of recruiting.

Campbell is still someone I would keep tabs on.  He's got a lot of coaching ahead of him.  His teams don't give up and they play defense.  The offense features the run game and TE's prominently.  We don't know how long MF stays at ND successful or not.  Campbells a good coach.  It is not easy to win and be consistent at Iowa State.

If Freeman doesn't pan out, Campbell would be an excellent future Kelly for sure.

He's already surpassed Kelly by winning multiple games against top 5 teams...

I still don't think you hire a program builder after a program builder. Freeman is a boom or bust but he won't want to change the staff. If they hired Campbell, I think he changes the staff and its a longer process.

Oh nononono.  I'm not saying we should have hired Campbell this go round.  I just meant that there is nothing telling me that he shouldn't be someone to keep an eye out for down the road whenever that may be.  He was certainly someone I have been high on as an up and comer.  He may never win a natty anywhere, but I think he will be successful more many years to come.  I look at him somewhat similar to Lou, in that it took a coach or two I believe before ND finally hired Lou, who really wanted to coach here.  Who knows maybe MF is wildly successful at ND and stays for 20 years and retires here.  Odds are that won't happen, the longevity, because no ones done it before.  I'd love MF to be here for ten years, win 2 NC and be in the conversation every year similar to Ara, and then ride off into the sunset.

That would be perfect.

All I can say is that Duck WR who didn't even attempt to catch that TD thrown ball whilst having 3 steps on the DB would be sitting his arse on the bench the rest of the game.  Gimme someone who wants to play.

Yeah that wasn't a good look for him. That pass seemed quite catchable. 23-3 Sooners. Stoops is stoops, run the rock get to the 50 and then  gets the ball to his fast guys as much as possible

Did Oregon opt out of this game?

LOL asking the wrong guy to find that one play in the game.  I know one of the commentators was livid, having been a former QB, and was going off about it for a couple minutes it seemed.

Speaking of amazing plays. The TE from Purdue just had an amazing play. OMG, it was ridiculous!
