He has made it to the playoffs before and did not win, he had nothing to do with the team winning two games against top tier teams this year to win it all. He knows he couldn’t do it so he bolted when his stock was high. Kelly gets nothing.

If the Irish win this thing it will be in spite of Brian Kelly, not because of anything he did. This would be Freeman's national championship and I would enjoy the vision in my mind of Brian Kelly crying himself to sleep afterwards!
