If he's staying I have to think Freeman is the HC and wanted him.  An outside coach cannot be expected to retain any previous staff, that would probably be a deal breaker.

Anybody want to predict if this tips the hand on Freeman being the HC? I saw the Assaf tweet that Freeman will be the guy (for whatever that is worth), and Rees is a bit of a different case because he is an ND alum, but I would think the more stability we see on the staff, the greater likelihood that Freeman is the pick.

Well now is the time to really see how Rees stacks up as an OC.  No more Kelly or his system, though I suspect many aspects of the offense will remain initially.  For gosh sake though get a QB coach to help out in development.  Bring back HH or get another highly respected OL coach.

you can also see why the team loves him. He’s genuine and sincere, something Kelly never was. Kelly was a business man that couldn’t inspire Girl Scouts to sell cookies. His pregame and halftime speeches were so uninspiring. Like attending mass and why I think the team consistently came out flat.

we won’t get that with Freeman and Rees. Going to be fun to watch.
