Not sure what that question was: Probably some general how do you get better question

• Make it simpler, coach better
• Get Fresh players on the field.
• Use more players on both sides of the ball(I think he's talking about Spindler at Offensive Guard and Watts at Rover.

 

    Why do you struggle in pass protection? Are protections being called right? Is it execution? Or a combination?

•  Bit of everything, We're using a 3rd left tackle, one was a corner blitz so not the lines fault(an RB or TE missed it) Once we didn't understand where the blitz was coming from(QB points those out, is responsible for protecting himself) Tosh Baker improved by the end of the game.

  Do you need to play 2 QBs?

• We want to. Helps the running game by equaling out numbers. We're still fine tuning the running game, deciding on our staple or go to plays

       to me the running games about.

1. short yardage

2. goal line

3. play-action passes 

4.  Running when the opponent knows what's coming

 

Availability

Botelho: Probable: Will know  Tuesday

C'bo/Kollie: Out

Carmody Questionable to out; Might test the sprained ankle. Purdue DE is really good so we'll be careful.

 

Patience on the line?

Comes down to players: Rotate more inside, 

Where is Buchner? Has package of plays, he will get more.

 

Freeman Question:

Better execution for 80 snaps, only doing 75 0ut of 80

Communicating and executing need to be better

big plays are driving kelly nuts

We practice. We get into a routine. We gotta up the level of preperation

 

On Myron:

Mature man. We are supportive of him.

 

Mayer/Austin

Good. but 2s not enough get everyone involved.

 

Purdue pass rusher

Athletic:

Relentless

Mindset: will keep going.

 

Bertand:

Physical: strength and agility

Finding his positin/job

 

On tying Rockne:

Longevity, Stability Winning........NO NEED TO COMPARE.........I came here to bring back winning

Botelho is listed on the depth chart for the first time this season. BK said he will know Tuesday whether or not Botelho can play this week.

Carmody is on the depth chart and might be able to play - ankle sprain not as bad as they thought. But probably more likely that Baker gets the start.

Prince Kollie is unavailable against Purdue (COVID).

C'Bo is unavailable against Purdue (unclear).

What’s going on with C’Bo?   Man, he’s a nice addition for some tough yards so Williams doesn’t have to get everyone of them.

 on C'bo it could be Covid or some discipline issue. I think if Jordan plays we'll know that whatever silent course correction for him is over.

 

I looked back on what Kelly said he didn't say Jordan wouldn't miss time. He said he wasn't off the team.

Not sure what's going on with C'Bo. I don't think it's COVID because this will be the third week that he's unavailable. He had a run in with the law in the spring (charged with leaving the scene of an accident). This could be a punishment for that incident. Although, players have had worse transgressions (the Fulton Five, Javon McKinley) and did not miss any time. So not sure if it's that or something else.

I had heard that too About C'bo. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who had heard it.
