Haha. It’s only one game. But I get your frustration. Faith and I discussed this. You’re going to get burned with this defense of cover 1. 
The thing I hate the most with this is you have Myron, Hinish and whoever as the end rushing most of the time. Those guys are pass rushers. So you’re relying on Foskey and Cross(ha) to do it all. 

Why again is only the opposing coaches making adjustments at HT?    So tired of the same old sh”t

He was awful. The 2nd half was an abomination, no adjustments, couldn’t contain the edge. Good thing he can recruit, bc that was pitiful. Lea never had a game that bad.

True, Freeman is a lot better recruiter. Not a good start.. Horrible actually.

I have to agree what was Freeman doing in the 4th qtr. Putting pressure on the QB was working great. Then in the 4Q he goes to a 3 man rush. Those front 3 were exhausted. He eliminated the strongest part of our D. On top of that we can not tackle. We made FSU offense look good.

I think it was partway through the 3rd Q actually, but your point stands.

That’s exactly how I feel, and what I said in regards to Lea.  Just pathetic!  He better get it figured out, and fast!

If he’s such a great coach, if shouldn’t matter what type of players he has.  Isn’t his defense base on the players he has where he adjusts mo matter what?  I’m willing to give him a chance, but this game was a terrible start!

Yeah, people wanting to fire him are way too emotional. That said, his D was awful in the 2nd half, in large part bc of his poor adjustments. I don’t what he was trying to accomplish but FSU pounded ND on the ground. And in the first half, ND was dominating the LOS.

The LBs aren’t up par with where they’ve been the past few years. That said, I’m not looking for the D to be ‘85 Bears, just don’t fall apart in the 2nd half and get gashed on the ground by a sub par team

I don't think FSU is as bad as we are all making them out to be.  I agree him going to a 3 man front was part of the problem but this FSU team is going to make some noise this year I think.

One game. A road game against a good team with a new defensive scheme. That’s a tough ask to come out and dominate. There were some good things. Many things to get better.  When they got up 18 they were conservative across-the-board. It turned out to be a huge mistake. That may not have been Freemans call to go three upfront. What I believe, is that these coaches are going to figure it out. They have some things to fix, and I think they will.

One of the big things They need to figure out and change is how they shuffled guys in and out. If they recognize that it was a problem, that’s a pretty easy fix. I don’t know if you guys realized, but when that guy ripped off the 89 yard touchdown run most everyone in there was a second teamer. Hopefully they are going to realize that you can’t trade out first team for second team altogether. Again easy fix if they recognize it. 

I wonder how this game would of been of guys could of tackled. That was the biggest issue. How many times did Nd have guys bundled up only to see a FSU player break loose and turn it into a plus play?  Maybe the game isn’t even close if some of those plays are losses. 
Either way, got to fix the tackling, game adjustments, and rotation for ND to be affective.

They’re bad. 6 win team at best.

Pray they come because if you re-watch the game, ours ran around like chickens with their heads cut off (that’s not a John McKay joke) for most of the fourth quarter…
