Little fun to start the day.

I picked ND by 20 or more. Guessing 34-13

Guessing Coan will have a little over 250. Not because we throw it all over the yard, but because we throw a good amount to RBs and I think we're going to get some major YAC from Tyree and Williams. I expect at least one to take it 50+ yards. Also fantasizing about Austin getting a few deep tosses.

And said 5 sacks.... FSU's OL has been pretty horrid. I think Freeman brings some pressure. If I had to guess, I'd say both Foskey and MTA get 2 sacks a piece, and then we'll add another blitz sack from a DB or LB.

Before the fall practice, I was really anxious about this game, and FSU with Milton. I would have thought both teams would be in the high 20s or low 30s space.

Given there seems to be some debate on who the best QB is, and Milton and Travis are an "OR" situation, not so afraid. 

Either they have two studs, or neither is great. And since I don't think Travis is great... well, they might be both struggling.

My bet is Milton wins out though. Only about 8 hours and we'll know lol ?

This is my "dream" Kelly offense, You have a QB kinda like Tony Pike, a slot like Marty Gilyard, speed at X receiver, very good running backs. I guess my "HEART" wants to be in the 40 or 50's my head says wait and see on the offensive line, but I'm in a good place.

The line was 7 pts yesterday when I placed my bet so I want it to be a comfortable win for me so I picked the 14-19.

WRs seem to be balling out in practice. 

I know a lot of folks were down on Book, but his legs and baller mentality went a long way. If Coan is an upgrade to arm talent, we should see some more dynamic play passing wise. I think we lose the QB running ability to an extent.

I'm only uber confident in Mayer as pass catchers. Love the potential of all the others (especially Austin), but got to see it on the field. RBs are studs, and deep. All three. Wouldn't be shocked if 2 of 3 leading pass catchers were Mayer and a RB...

I'd be very surprised if we didn't cover. Something would have to go really wrong. Which of course does every week in CFB lol.

FSU allowed almost a 10% sack rate last year. Super bad

Freeman had a top 25 sack and pressure rate last year.

Cinci was tied with 3rd most INTs in the nation last year.

 

I picked conservative choices because this team usually lacks the killer instinct but I think there are some cards aligned to make this an easy one.  I hope the Irish make it a bloodbath,

Yup. Pressure Also create indecisive QB's with Happy feet. Happy feet causes them to hold the ball, holding the ball causes them to be late, a late QB is an intercepted QB.

FWIW, I checked out what some of the predictors or saying. Most say take ND -7.5, with many saying go "max bet", and most say take the under. Most reviews think ND will dominate in the trenches on both sides.

First game for Freeman, so will be interesting on the road. ND has more talent easily IMO, but we have a ton of new starters. 

So long as we've "reloaded" and the guys have soaked up the new system, we should see some exciting stuff this year. Might be a little bland today though.
