August 14, 20213 yr On the contrary, I prefer the new format. I see nothing to complain about with the new layout.
August 14, 20213 yr I’ve gotten used to it and really like it. I have the white background set up and it feels much cleaner. I also like the ability to react to posts.
August 14, 20213 yr The new format is leaps and bounds better than the old one! There’s just so much functionality that comes with it, like notifications and reacting to posts. I mean, it really is about time this site caught up with the rest of the digital world, because it was much needed and pretty much a requirement.
August 14, 20213 yr In order to get your point across and persuade others, it is important to articulate "why" you think it sucks. The new format is much more clean and modern in my opinion. What is it about this format that you hate?
August 14, 20213 yr My only issue with it was havign it dark theme as default. now that ive updated mine, im good.
August 15, 20213 yr Since I was just about to ask "How do I change to Dark theme?" I found it - it's at the very bottom of any page, on my screen right under the Facebook icon, "Theme" with a dropdown arrow. Choose it there and off we go. And yea, bemoaning change without offering why it's not as good or having suggestions to improve it is just whining.
August 15, 20213 yr We get set in our ways ….so change is not usually welcomed ……but once you get familiar with the new set up you might find you like it even better than the previous one …..I know I do
August 16, 20213 yr It loads super slow when threads have loads of graphics in them. That needs to be fixed

That needs to be fixed @Jersey Irish- This is a double edged sword / impossible task to please everyone. I have two options for this. 1. Enable something called lazy loading. This allows you to load all the text, avatars, etc. immediately. But media / tweets don't load until you scroll to them. But the page as a whole loads much quicker 2. Disable lazy loading. This has everything load up-front, media files, tweets, etc. But causes the page to load slower as a whole. I personally prefer lazy loading, but when it was enabled, I had a few requests to have media all load at the onset. Since making the change, I haven't had any mentions of it. To save on server usage before the season, however, I'll give lazy loading one more shot and see how it goes. And if you have any thoughts, feel free to let me know!
August 16, 20213 yr Is lazy loading an all or nothing option? Is it an option which can be set individually? Ideally by person by thread?

This sucks.
