Cover 1- Man under 1 safety deep, fewer variations,  Mike(blitz the MLB) Rat(play man, spy the QB) Hole-(LB in shallow cross hole) Robber(2nd safety in deeper hole(robbing slants or posts)

Last Year: Quarters: Safety's read the 2 receiver for run or pass, then fill or drop accordingly

Hopefully I’m wrong but I think we are going to get torched playing cover 1. Unless our corners have improved I’m not seeing one on one coverage all game.

Could be right, but 1-on 1 is simpler being the first thing players learn to do. Hopefully the Irish get a good pass rush and the corners hold up or he'll have to adjust or become BVG

After yesterday, I keep smiling at what Cam Hart could do in the fall. 6'2 long arms. Clarence Lewis 6'0, Caleb Offord. Guess what, Kyle Hamilton should be back. Avajon who Lea never got on the field looks good. Phillip Riley, Yes I'm overly optimistic, but I'm enjoying  it.

I am very optimistic about the secondary next year. They could be special especially if Houston steps up and plays to his ability.

Finally think they have enough pieces acrosss the board to be very strong in the secondary

I am also pretty optimistic about the young corners. We shall see. Hamilton back there will always help as well.

True. But one missed jam on a slant and you’ll be seeing what Jerry Rice made famous. Cover one has its ups for sure. But you need the personnel I think.
