Guest Black Irish9
From Scout: Major Wright discusses Notre Dame http://notredame.scout.com/2/578911.html “Yes sir,” Wright replied when asked whether Notre Dame was still in contention for his signature. “I don’t know what people are saying, I think they just put want the want. It’s Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida, Miami and Georgia.” This article really surprised me. I had no idea we were in Wright's top 5. He says in here that he has officials left to schedule which means he will probably visit at some point too. Pretty awesome.[/url]

Guest SirJohn
Black it's OK. Your Bad my good Forgive the 'doggie talk' Sehe's the one that labled me "Sir" John when I went to Lackland AFB Texas for my daughters AF Graduation, coming back I said I had never been called Sir so much by so many wonderful young people in my life. So I call this friend and others Lady. If I can find it I''l print her 'doogies pix' she sent My pipeline just depends upon nice people. *********** Hey Lady Carol, I see your not on AOL tonight. How is your breathing doing? That new puppy exhausting you? I had some prayers said for you upstairs. It was good to be with the boids that showed up last Tuesday again, I hope this coming Tuesday also, been hard to get us all on line since my daughter went to Iraq and I had to choose talking to her 10 30 Pm. I have a 'selfish' reason also in writing you tonight. Is it Mary June (If I forget the name I apologize you know me and names) that is the ND fan and knows the Monsignor? Hey tell him to call Archbishop Kelly here, we are close. If there's ND tickets in there toss em my way. Ahahahah I know she has no computer and comes to your house to read the ND info I send to her. I hope she enjoyed those ND print outs to read I sent you for her. The reason here is I am trying to get a farther Catholic School pipeline on where these kids go. Specifically if it's ND as a choice. That's what the various Catholic School HS Coaches, faculty, and parish priests might be hearing. I can't afford any LD calls even on a TDD. Can you have her ask around for me? See, I know no one down that way but y'all. If they have a computer (The Monsignor or any other connection give my computer address please.) I'm not asking for specifics just the current word going around on any kid if they are considering ND or not. I hope this is no trouble to you and you and that ' bleep' doggie are well. Ahaha. I said that Chi would have been hardly a mouthful for my old Shepherd. I still can't spell chewawa. Sir John
Guest Black Irish9
Happy to help Sir John. Especially if more recruiting info comes out of this pipeline of yours
Guest SirJohn
Not much Just Romain, Ragone and Trattou 2 of 3 very early on. So 66 and 2/3rds ain't bad so far Black. I can't wouldn't want to compete with the Big guys here, TD, broker, bluester etc They are the best. Mine has to be bits and from a 'by the way' from a priest only on Catholic Schools. I was sitting here many weeks mulling over how to get down South. Then your post reminded me of the Monsignor. May come to nothing. I mentioned my AB here as he is retiring and 'getting out of the shooting gallery' as it's termed and can be freeer with sources. I was DUH! Black again thanks I won't forget. PS IrishRick just em'd me has nothing to do with this post , It's Ricks but I had to really laugh Willie Nelson's public statement regarding being caught with a bag of Marijuana last week: "It's a good thing I had a bag of weed instead of spinach. I'd be dead by now." Ahahaha
rdrdreamer
Sir John... What are your thoughts on Major Wright? With the other defensive backs offered presently being offered by ND, Smith, Williams and Gray, will he even be considered by us? Second question. Are Wright and Golden Tate both serious about the Irish? Or do you hear or feel that they are using Notre Dame as leverage to attact more attention from schools currently said to be their favorites? Guest SirJohn
dreamer wish I could help. I read the board guys here and that's all I know. I am not a recruitnik, and don't pretend to be. I don't know speeds, ability, stars past what is posted here. I don't prowl other boards recruiting. I talked to Lady tonight she is feeling down and having trouble breathing but will ask her friend tomorrow when she comes on a daily visit about the Monsignor. Now the guys here and you know much, much more than I ever will. It's just when a name comes up on the board, he happens to go to a Catholic School I can contact these religious and drop a "what is the word on (name) down that way? I didn't know Romine, Ragone, Trattou. from Adam. He's chomping maple nut fudge cake while saying, "oh, he's going to ND." No word means no ND we do not discuss ND football nor any public school kid which just might be in his own town. He watches TV, listens to the HS chatter, subscribes to no paid rag, wouldn't want to join a fan site. I get a grand lengthy religious lecture each call or EM about other things before I can dare ask He knows I stay for the sermon for the lure of IRISH I can't push. I think it was Trattou?? He ended with "Now go get your self a six pack and think of what i said." I never let anyone get the last word. So I said "Father, I cracked open a 12 pack an hour ago when you started this EM, I'm down to six now and will certainly follow your advice." Ahahahah We have fun along the way. So I try to do it that way. Got a name, Catholic in a certain area? He's ND or not, waivering ,I am sure I can call it if i can broaden the pipeline more. The Board guys say he is good or not, the rags do, Charlie does. I can just call "he's Irish" Not my credit all those others. It would get to the parish priest soon you see before even a paid rag. Guest SirJohn
I see I never answered about Major. I'm waiting on a Florida connection. You guys want him? I could hopefully say he's in the bag or not in a few if these come trhough. I'd love some Fla contact. See? I really don't know him or stars or what not. I hope for 'just give me a name' and oh he's in or out.
rocketsurgery
he's a four star safety prospect. 6'1" 215 with 4.55 listed speed more important to me is the schools who are after him Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and SC and now apparently us I would guess more of a strong safety than a free Gray of course is a corner I think Williams is an either or and of course Smith is a safety or even a linebacker lots of mix and match possiblities
Guest ND2k9
I think Major Wright is in the top 5 players that we need. We have the CB prospects, but no great safety, yet.
dangeruss
Head Coach George Smith says "Major is a very fine human being, is the team captain, and maintains a 3.3 GPA. His college selections are down to The University of Miami, Ohio State, and Notre Dame." after the miami brawl and the direction miami is heading i wonder if they're still high on his list. http://www.aquinasfootball.homestead.com/files/2006_Season/Wright_Army_Bowl.html
Guest weisforprez
Robert Hughes just got an offer from Miami too. They are a sinking ship, and until they get Butch Davis back that program will stay in the tank.

I wonder if that is to attract Tez some more...it's not like the state of Florida doesn't have enough running backs to choose from... dangeruss
OSU already has landed two 4-Star safeties Eugene Clifford and Nate Oliver, so im not sure how hard the buckeyes will go after wright. then miami seems to be falling apart but their still the home town team. if it is really down to OSU, UM and ND then i feel ND has a reall good shot. My boss at work has herd on sport talk radio that U is throwing Sabans name around.Since he is the head coach in Miami now.And he did do a good job at MSU and then at LSU.I would think he would be a great fit for their program.Saban doesn't seem to be doing all that well as a pro coach.IMO. dangeruss
no way saban leaves the dolpins after just two years to drop back down to college. i would think they would go after butch davis again.
