No commentary really, just seems odd with all the high profile types we are in on.

Given how messed up everything is with regards to high football, you have to trust BK and staff on this one. They have a great track record in identifying WR talent. As proof, during Kelly's 11 years as head coach, here are the WRs that BK recruited and who were then later drafted:

Chase Claypool - 2nd Round

Miles Boykin - 3rd Round

ESB - 6th Round

Will Fuller - 1st Round

T.J Jones - 6th Round

I will put that record against any other top head coach out there. It, of course, does not include the 2021 draft so look to have one or two more WRs added to that list.

Its interesting that most of their high profile receivers may not pan but the lower ones do. Maybe im mistaken with that.

there is an expectation gap too. When we as fans hear about a 5 star player coming we immediately expect 1st round results,

These guys Kelly gets often surprise after we have no idea what to expect.

Will this guy be Miles Boykin or Micah Jones time will tell but chances are will Kelly's track Record I like our chances.

You would lose. ND is behind Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Georgia, Baylor, and USC for receivers in the game NFL.

I agree about expectations. But Finke certainly developed more than a lot.

I think part of it is that BK requires that the WRs are top notch blockers and, pure speculation here, many of the lower rater receivers are probably more likely to do that in high school.

I think you missed his sarcasm.

I certainly did. But, while this doesn't highlight WR's, it does show that BK is likely higher on that list than one might assume.

Ya, consider it missed. BK’s WR recruiting hasn’t been lights out but he isn’t a bum either.

Do schools like Alabama not require their young WRs to block or can they teach them to block in less than three seasons? What is BK doing differently than other top programs who seem to be able to get significant contributions from young WRs?

These highlights are nice. I’m really intrigued here with this kids development.
