It struck me that we should not see a headline like this:

Notre Dame DC Marcus Freeman Is Recruiting Like He's At An Elite Program

ND coaches should have already been recruiting like an elite program. Instead, we see things like:

Much of the talk we hear about recruiting at Notre Dame in recent seasons is how difficult it is, how many obstacles the program faces and how it's so difficult to land highly ranked prospects.

Someone forgot to tell Freeman how difficult it is to recruit the nation's best prospects.

Freeman is recruiting like he's at a program that is competing for national titles ... imagine that!

Regardless of how Freeman came to ND (there are rumors that Kelly had to be told not to just promote Elston), he has been a great upgrade on the recruiting trail.

Now, just imagine if the program's head coach had been recruiting like Freeman for the past 11 years.

He hasn't tried to get them trough Addmission yet.

I think everyone is excited about the energy and buzz he creates with recruiting. Time for Rees and Taylor to step it up. I was optimistic about their recruiting abilities but a little underwhelmed so far.

I find it difficult to guess, much less conclude, anything with respect to Freeman's recruiting at ND. The sample size is just too small (almost non-existent). Writers need to write.
