I get that. It is my all time favorite game and for it to be on a new platform with the graphics, recruiting, etc. it will really suck to not play with ND. I guess North Texas football here I come.

Honestly, I've thought this the entire time. EA should build a game that has the colleges, but make all the players exactly the same attributes. Then, make the player changes open source and allow users to import attributes that they build themselves or that others build in open source forums. Then, EA is off the hook for liability.

No, because you were able to update rosters in the earlier games as well. They are still modding 2014 with up to date rosters.

Right. I think the only thing it would affect would be if they introduced something newer to the game. Say, training regiments. What if the game made you actually have to take courses haha. Well not actually take course but made it where you had to attend class to stay eligible. Those SEC schools would suffer.

Yeah, or even the addition of better graphics, better moves, a better AI algorithm...new songs, cutaways, etc. They could get away with bland rosters. Or, to give it a hint of realism, they could give the team an overall score that was generally applied across the players. Like Bama is an A+ so all players are A+ and Wyoming is a D...

All of this because some people think college students should get paid (on top of their free tuition). I dont like it, but Ill be getting the updated rosters that will have all the teams and names anyway, so I am still excited. This was one of the my concerns though.

I don’t agree. This is a separate legal issue about using their likeness and attributes to make a profit on a game. It has nothing to do with them being paid to play at a school. They’re already paid by the schools in terms of scholarships. EA didn’t pay them anything.

Just thinking. Even if ND doesn’t sign then I can probably just create my own team and make ND with all its attributes. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. Just make the damn game and I’ll figure out the rest. I could care less about updated rosters. Frankly, they should start off each new dynasty as a “random” bunch of rosters. One dynasty LSU has the best roster. The next new dynasty could have ND. That would cut all this garbage out to begin with. Not that hard people!

Someone will save you the trouble and do the team creation for you... happens every time... just be patient...
