Posted July 10, 20204 yr Well here we are...PAC 12 is conference only too. When was the last time ND did not play USC? How about when was the last time the Irish didn’t play USC and/or Navy???? Jeez
July 10, 20204 yr The season is over. This is all just posturing. Conferences don’t want to lose their advertising partners too early. This will drag on and on until August. Then the NCAA will say ‘not happening this fall’. In January they’ll say ‘not happening this spring either’. Makes me feel bad for the Ian Books in football. This season may have made a huge difference in draft stock for so many players.
July 11, 20204 yr Well here we are...PAC 12 is conference only too. When was the last time ND did not play USC? How about when was the last time the Irish didn’t play USC and/or Navy???? Jeez We've played SC every year since 1926 except for 43-45 for WWII. This is just a crazytown kinda world right now.
July 11, 20204 yr Wondering why Big Ten and Pac-12 waited a month to announce when we all knew this on June 15th...
July 11, 20204 yr Wondering why Big Ten and Pac-12 waited a month to announce when we all knew this on June 15th... Really. Me too. Waiting for the other dominoes to fall in other leagues, but ND's affiliation with the ACC will be huge to filling out this year's schedule. Also think BYU will be added cause ND owes them a game from a few years back
July 11, 20204 yr Wondering why Big Ten and Pac-12 waited a month to announce when we all knew this on June 15th... Good point. And it would’ve been best if they coordinated with the other conferences. Pretty inconsiderate to leave everyone else scrambling 1.5 months before the season is supposed to start. I think this is an opportunity to expand the playoff and cut all the other bowl games. Take the 5 conference winners and add one at large. Give the top 2 a bye, have #3 vs #6, #4 vs #5, then the lowest seed to advance plays #1, and the other plays #2. Basically, just rip off the NFL playoff format.
July 12, 20204 yr 8 game playoff. Big 5 plus 3 at large. No bye games as this changes the playing field. Edited July 12, 20204 yr by Domer Dude
