That would be stupid. However, I don’t think there’s anyway the season starts at that date anyway.

Why would it be stupid? This season doesn’t matter, so who cares. It’s unlikely the season will finish. Half the teams aren’t really playing. A fair portion of our team will go down with Covid. So, who cares? Let’s have a fun big time matchup even if it means getting curb stomped, because who really cares? There’s nothing waiting at the end of this season.

No ND/Bama this year...

All of Europe which has a Massively higher pop density is going down. You don’t know what I would have thought. Also, Trumps response is not showing up to the fire and saying it doesn’t exist, while all the other fire departments respond to the fire instead and put it down. That’s the difference.

And you’d still be more mad at them than the guy who burned your house down?

And you’d still be more mad at them than the guy who burned your house down?

I can be mad at both. I can be mad at the cause and I can be mad at the response equally. Concerning college football, this is happening soon and if it doesn’t happen it is Trumps fault. Was it Trumps fault college basketball was canceled, most likely no. But right now this moment, Europe who I have already explained and disproved your arguments, is opening playing sports, going to school ect. While the US is getting worse and worse. So yes, China could be to blame as the fire starter, but If the house across the street was burning and they came a put it out making it livable and my house burned with no response I would be pissed and I am.

They also don’t have 50 difft states. If Trump had made a requirement for masks in April, you would’ve called him a dictator. And China is the sole reason this virus exists, it’s ultimately their fault. Again, being mad at Trump’s response is like being mad at the firefighters for taking too long to get to your burning house while totally ignoring any accountability of the arsonist

No other country in the world has an issue with being told to wear a mask for the greater good. WTF is wrong with this one and why can't people just suck it up to get over this **** **** sooner rather than later.

I mean we did see mobs of people out in the streets burning stuff down without masks and nobody said a word. Kind of insulting that law abiding citizens are expected to follow the rules and not rioters.

Thousands of people burn down a Wendy’s in Atlanta, no mask, but they’re angry so it’s cool. One person shows up to the grocery store w/o a mask and it’s their fault the virus spread? No, kiss my azz.

You didn’t read my post. Here’s another analogy, if a train is built ****** and is prone to falling off the rails 10% of the time, however a good train conductor is able to manage the speed to prevent this and instead the conductor falls asleep and it falls of the rails who’s fault is it? The fn German train is running just fine! We are going to be watching the Canadian football league at this point and Aussie football to get our fix because of Trump. Other countries don’t have this problem. That is the fn difference. Pay attention!

I voted for Trump and I can say he has screwed this up. He is well aware that Presidents with strong economies get re-elected and he was going to roll in November...until this pandemic.

He jumped the gun trying to reopen...he was hell bent on having everything open by the summer and lost sight of beating this thing. I originally thought he would shut everything down until July 4th and have some big reopening celebration. Instead he tried to do it by Memorial Day and as we were reopening George Floyd was murdered and protests became riots. Once this happened most people stopped listening to all of government. In Philadelphia the mayor seriously said, “no crowds outside of more than 250 UNLESS you are protesting.” Then they blamed bars for spreading the virus and stated there was no evidence that 60,000 protestors and rioters spread it despite a spike in places where all hell broke loose. Seriously...with that all credibility was lost and all hopes of people following rules was chucked out the window.

Both sides want the economy rolling and don’t give a damn if life has to be sacrificed and the game now is trying to blame the other guy.

He did the right thing. If the country was still locked down waiting for cases to drop to zero most businesses would never have been able to recover and most of us would not have jobs to go to and a depression would be looming. There was no guarantee keeping the entire nation locked down all this time would have stopped the virus. You think bumbling Biden could have done better? C'mon, man!

I miss the times when this board was about ND football and not politics or economics which most people on this board have shown they have no idea about.

It seems like almost every other industrialized nation did better. Maybe it’s also got to do with the WAY things opened up.

Technically, it is in the open forum and the title speaks for itself. You can choose to not speak or read about it. I know there’s not much ND football news going on right now, so people I guess need an outlet to take out their frustrations.

Yeah, AZ technically shut down for 2 weeks and we were back up and going after our docs had a conversation with Ducey. This I know for fact. We were back up and running full go after those two weeks pretty much. Now we were/are one of the epicenters in the US. Although, I guess it’s hard to argue with the logic at the time being how we didn’t have many cases. However......we also didn’t have any test kits at that time either. If you got sick good luck finding one here.

High School Football moved to spring here in the Northwest.

Looks like college football is sending the kids to war with a plan to have a season.
