Lol did I say that, or are you projecting your issues on me?

ย

Emotional outbursts donโ€™t make you persuasive. The name calling is cute though.

ย

You should make that โ€œyour thingโ€. It *commands* respect.

No, but we need a plan in place. We can't stay shut down until there's a vaccine like Newsome wants, that could take 1.5-2 yrs. That's not an option.

ย

100% agree we need a plan. I donโ€™t think that plan should be โ€œopen on June 1st and pretend nothing bad will happen.โ€ Having a concrete date in place before we have all the info is moronic. We are probably going to open some things and not others and wait and see. Then base future decisions on what happens. If we just let everything go back to normal Monday who knows what will happen.

If you want things to stay cancelled indefinitely, yes, you are a huge vagina.

First, you need to slow your roll and take your angst over to the open forum.

Second, Iโ€™m going to put you at somewhere in your 20s with the ignorance that youโ€™re spouting. Youโ€™re โ€œkill โ€˜em all and let god sort โ€˜em outโ€ rhetoric is tired and dangerous.

Iโ€™m not sure where you live, but where I live there are healthy and young people dying form a virus with no cure. We all want football, but get this sh!t wrong and weโ€™ll all get locked up til 2021 on the covid rebound. Be safe and save your feelings for someone else.

Iโ€™m 32 and Iโ€™m sure there are young people who die, but theyโ€™re the exception, not the rule. The survival rate is over 98% if youโ€™re under 60 with no preexisting condition. That doesnโ€™t mean we shouldnโ€™t be cautious, but staying tucked away for 1.5-2 yrs isnโ€™t an option. Quarantine the sick and the elderly, let the rest of us get back to our lives.

This might be the only scenario that actually gives us an advantage. There aren't many teams used to playing in front of a catatonic crowd...

ย

Hahaha...so true.

ย

I wouldn't put it past the SEC to infect their lesser teams and then have them take out some of the bigger out of conference opponents.

ย

You are such a little bitch.

echo...that was really funny,,,,funny cause its true!

ย

We need testing..thats how we reopen...unfortunately this administration has been sluggish to stubborn to a downright obstacle....to massive and better testing.

ย

The abbot lab test is terrific...trump needs to get that kit manufactured faster and massively...

ย

In Hawaii we only have 500 cases and have been aggressive in our social distancing...if you fly here now you are quarantined for 14 days....

ย

We understand we must have tourists to survive,,,,but if we just let people fly in willy nilly our 500 cases will turn into 15000 cases pretty fast..ITS A BITCH!

ย

We need to be able to test tourists coming in with near immediate results....

if we could do that we could reopen for business...

ย

This is all unfortunately very problematic...for reasons nobody can explain...the administration just does not totally get it....massive and instant testing could hold us over till the vaccine.

ย

When Trump was visiting the CDC a few weeks ago while the ship was off California...he said I don't really want them tested cause it will raise our numbers...that was a jaw dropper of a statement....he seems to think testing will make things look worse then they are.,..he speaks to the business leaders about reopening and they all tell him we need more and better testing to open safely....the governers tell him we need testing...the medical experts tell him we need testing.. better faster and more testing should have been the go to move 2 months ago...but better late then never..

ย

If we want football even without fans...we need to be able to test the players,,coaches ,,refs...and then play ball without fans...

ย

Testing is all we have until a vaccine.

ย

If we roll the dice in Hawaii and just let tourists fly in from all over the world...we will become a hot spot quickly and nobody will want to come as a result of the dangers of flying and flying into a hot spot....its a terrible catch 22 we are wrestling with out here....Testing is our only answer until the vaccine....

ย

I hope they figure it out soon enough for quiet football...that would be better then nothing....but if we dont move quickly on testing especially the abbot test football wont be able to go...its such a mess!

This actually made me laugh out loud.

Me? Iโ€™m not the one advocating cancelling life until 2021. We flattened the curve so we didnโ€™t overwhelm hospitals, our work is done in most states. Iโ€™m sorry if youโ€™re old or have a condition, but the rest of us have a right to live our lives.

I do think that we need to try to open the economy back up. That said, I believe that we will need to repeat stay at home orders multiple times in the next 6 to 12 months.

ย

If 60% to 70% of the population needs to be immune in order for herd immunity to exist, that means that 200,000,000 people in the US need to be immune for the disease to stop spreading. Assuming that 50% will not show any symptoms, that still leaves 100,000,000 to be ill and recover. I realize that only a small percent will require hospitalization but I do not think that we are anywhere close to having herd immunity established. As a result, there will probably need to be waves of stay at home orders on a more localized basis as hot spots develop. Over time, the virus will have a harder time spreading as more and more people become immune.

ย

Hopefully, treatment(s) will be developed and more equipment manufactured so that no one will die to lack of a ventilator.

I think we will open up pretty soon regardless. I believe we are starting to get ahead on PPE equipment and ventilators. I think New York just shipped some ventilators to New Jersey because they have enough now. If they stay ahead of the game and donโ€™t drag their feet ? we will be better prepared for the later flu season. Itโ€™s about not taxing the system and limiting the deaths. If we can do that then we will open just fine come fall. I think we will also have a better handle on testing and medicine that can help negate some symptoms by then.

Our work is done? Dude there is up to four waves of this still to come...

ย

If, and this is a huge IF, there is a season this year, it will look unlike any you have ever seen. Top officials are suggesting we area year away from stadiums and concert venues.

Itโ€™s here to stay, itโ€™s a new flu. The curve flattened, but we canโ€™t let the economy be destroyed and we canโ€™t continue to let these power hunger tyrant governors dictate our lives. The people in Michigan were right to get out and protest yesterday. Weed stores, lotto stands and liquor stores are essential but you canโ€™t buy paint at Home Depot? F that.

Edited by ELDER06

Itโ€™s more than a new flu...your oversimplification of it is ridiculous.

ย

Look what it is doing in long term care facilities and retirement homes... thatโ€™s not a basic flu...

ย

Way to be myopic.
