I never knew that Julian Fleming was so highly rated. He played 20 minutes away from me at Southern Columbia under Coach Roth

Faith...Southern Columbia was ridiculous this year. They didn’t get much National love due to the fact they are a 2A (small) school but they might be better than St Joe’s Prep, the PA 6A winner.

Fleming is OSU bound...their QB is a preferred walk-on to Bama...TE signed with Wisconsin...one RB is committed to Michigan...another RB to Colgate (I believe). This is from a school that has like 110 boys in the entire building.

i just hope people do not over-analyze this game. Especially offensive players. These games are mostly all defense who is more reactive and pure athleticism while the offense has like a week of practicing together to get plays right and rhythm right...

Drew Pyne just threw a perfect pass for a 42-yard score. Pass to Julian Fleming (OSU). The ball travelled almost the entire way in the air.

Really weird that Elysburg PA where Fleming is from is 20 minutes from me. Also produced Henry Hynosky

Fun Game, Drew Pyne is a true Competitor. Like him, Accurate, tough, not huge.

Pyne led at least two of the three TD drives for his team. I thought he was better than the A&M commit who’s more highly rated. While he’s not super athletic, he is really accurate and I think just a smart football player.

Agree. Ed Reed should have gone back to Pyne for that last drive. I think he would have made it much more interesting than the happy feet King.

Showed toughness on that scramble, scared me a minute, he wanted to score

Looks like he has the ability to throw a very good ball when needed. There were some shorter throws, too, (albeit important 3rd and 8 types) that he put right on the money.

He does look tiny to me. I'm sure he will fill out more muscle-wise, but he also does not appear to have Book's level of athleticism which he will need. He reminded me of a smaller version of Jimmy Clausen actually.

drew pyne is a very accurate passer who throws a nice ball, only real negative about him is his size but that should fix its self somewhat when he gets to college.

Sounds to me like he is a Drew Brees clone -- small in stature but keen football mind with accurate arm. For ND's sake, let's hope so!
