Recruiting Reminder

We all get hyped up and always want our team to win, which is how it should be. But we wonder why some kids don't work out and some can't hang in school or other various outcomes. Below is a good reminder that you never know what is happening in other people's lives a lot of times and in recruiting they are just kids.

Bryce Gowdy had gotten into GT and was going to enroll early. ND had looked into him as well. Very sad ending to his story.

I followed this story as well. Sad stuff, it is a solid reason for the NCAA to pay players, at least something. If this kid's family wasn't living in their car then he might be starting classes at GT right now. Tragic.

He wasnt enrolled in school yet. He wouldnt have been getting paid yet anyway

But if he knew that he could help them out once he started in January, it might have made a difference.

Thats a stretch for sure. Im not blaming the ncaa on this one. He obviously had a lot of demons if he was willing to do this. This runs deep. A little extra cash would not be the fix imo
