Makes too many plays too often. Too many game MVP awards like ISU game. Too many tackles with only 35 more than the next closest DB. He just does too damn much.

He’s a good player but I’m evaluating him like the NFL would. Many late round picks are great college players, but we all know tons of great college players who couldn’t make it in the NFal.

Good for him....but a fifth year would have did him justice...

Not sure I agree... He downsides arent going to get changed by another year. He won't grow.

The other thing, he did a prep year before Navy, so he is 5 years removed from High School, so this would be his 6th year. He isnt getting any younger.

agreed, I do not think he will be a high draft pick, but there is little he could do next year that would improve his draft stock. I wish the best for him, but I see him as mostly a special teams guy and backup safety in the NFL.

He’s not 5’9”. 5’11” isn’t ideal, but average is 6’0 or so, so he isn’t that far off.

Whether he is good enough to overcome that is a different question left to the NFL scouts.

I think his coverage skills will be the question, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make a roster due his special teams and all around skill set.

Since the early 2000's, ND safeties seem to do OK in the NFL. I believe that it is due to safety in the pros being a mentally challenging position and ND players are better equipped in that area (i.e. they're smarter) than the typical college safety.

Gillman is more of a player than Matthias Farley and Mattias has held his own in the NFL. On the right team in the right position Gillman will be a stud. He doesn't walk and talk with an attitude. He thinks and plays with an attitude - it's in his blood.
