All we know is that Kelly has not recruited better than Top 15. A different coach who worked harder at recruiting and has more charisma could probably recruit consistently in the Top 10.

 

It is your opinion (probably based on made up facts) that ND cannot recruit in the Top 5 or Top 10.

 

If you bothered to look at past recruiting results rather than make stuff up, you would see that schools go up and down in the recruiting rankings and that the number factor behind these moves is the head coach.

 

Just because ND has been basically recruiting Top 15 for the past 10 years, all that means is that Kelly is a Top 15 recruiter at ND. Different coach different result.

 

They can’t recruit a lot of kids bc of academics, that’s just the reality.

Again, you are ignoring the TEN YEARS part. BK has maybe one signature win in TEN YEARS. The proof is in the pudding for BK. Let’s give Fleck the talent and resources ND has and I’d bet he’d have more than that.

You’re basing this off 1 game for Fleck. His shtick will get old the minute his team doesn’t win. The running down the sideline, the boat rowing gestures are all gimmicks. It’s part of his brand building, and I don’t care about hiring a guy based on self marketing. I also don’t want a guy who is still a disciple of TressellBall. Fleck getting this one win doesn’t change the fact he’s out of date in terms of X’s and O’s.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm basing my opinion from the day he was hired. Higher win tallies each year as he inplements his system...this year is just further proof that he has been building this team into an undefeated squad that can beat a top 10 team despite having much less talent...

No, you don’t get it. It’s very hard to win at ND, and when you do win, you buy yourself some leeway when you lose. Everyone here thinks the grass is greener and it’s not.

Fleck took over a 9 win team and went 12 and 13 in his first 2 years. They beat 1 good team this year. Everyone calm down
