October 5, 200618 yr on Armando Allen. Don't be shocked if he commits to ND on his visit. Wow, thanks SS. A group of us have felt good for some time on him but wasn't expecting a commit this weekend. This Stanford game will be the first Notre Dame home game I will miss in 3 years. A commit by Armando (and throw in a few more of the visitors) and that will more than make up for me not being able to attend the game.
October 5, 200618 yr He is one guy that I always thought was going to go to ND. He may be the only big time Florida recruit ND gets. ND is going to struggle with recruiting in the sunshine state this year.
October 5, 200618 yr thats good news, i pretty much figured he'd be a gator. couldn't ND also land lorenzo edwards?
October 5, 200618 yr I forgot about Edwards. I haven't heard much about him. Neither Miami or FSU are recruiting him much so I wouldn't put him in the upper level of Florida recruits.
October 5, 200618 yr I forgot about Edwards. I haven't heard much about him. Neither Miami or FSU are recruiting him much so I wouldn't put him in the upper level of Florida recruits. Huh? He's got offers from all 3, projected as #4 LB on Scout. Per Scout he has low interest in Miami and FSU...maybe that's his interest and not the schools'. He will be visiting Mich this weekend. I guess if ND gets Fla guys, it's because none of the "Big 3" wanted them, even when 2 of the 3 are in tailspins. Good info on Allen, thanks Sunshine.
October 5, 200618 yr I guess if ND gets Fla guys, it's because none of the "Big 3" wanted them, even when 2 of the 3 are in tailspins. Not the case. Miami offered Richard Jackson. Florida offered Wenger and the world offered Sam Young, inncluding Florida and Miami (and USC).
October 5, 200618 yr Broke, that was my point as well. I got the impression that Sunshine feels ND has a shot w/ Edwards because there's little interest for the Fla. schools, also dead wrong.
October 5, 200618 yr Correct me if Im wrong, but he is a 4-satr and top 100/150 player across the board!

October 5, 200618 yr Thats great news Sunshine. I have been calling for AA for a while. As for Edwards, I think that he might be a Michigan lean.
October 5, 200618 yr Miami and FSU have little interest in Edwards, trust me. Miami also didn't have much interest in Richard Jackson. Sam Young and Den Wenger were both big time pickups for ND though.
October 5, 200618 yr Miami and FSU have little interest in Edwards, trust me. i've seen lorenzo edwards video and to be honest i was not that impressed and i'm not sure what CW see's in him. the one thing that stood out to me about edwards was his lack of speed for a S or LB.

Florida offered Wenger and the world offered Sam Young, inncluding Florida and Miami (and USC). There are cases in which colleges offer players even though they have'nt been recruiting them very hard, if not at all. Point in case, LaSean McCoy last year. Miami was'nt really recruiting him that much, but he had an offer from us. When he committed to Miami, it completely shocked our coaches and caught them off guard.
October 5, 200618 yr Thanks Sunshine. We've been in want of some news like this. Just a few days ago some domer actually reverted back to the ancient Clausen commit just to have some recruiting news to post (albeit six months old!!). Here's to a fresh batch of newbies in the coming weeks (I'd be holding up a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale if I were home)
October 5, 200618 yr Team, beside liking you as a member of DD.and the good info you bring on any team these are my observations about Miami's situation. LOSING! Now in any school there is a "Good Old Boy group." Boosters, Adminiastration, Trustees. Your program is going down hill. So is the Green Bay Packers and so was Notre Dame under Ty. Notre Dame simply had a huge uprising in the fan bases and this bled off to Boosters and then Trustees. Shaking them to their foundation. (Fans rule you guys do not for all the money and power you think you have.) Simply put if you want your position to continue you jerks better change cause fans are pissed off. FORTUNATELY.... A new Coach coincided with a change in Presidents of the University (Monk to Jenkins). A breath of fresh air. They didn't just open up a window for the breeze, they tore down a wall. That's but you get on the same page with the program, stop the infighting or get the hell out. Do what is good for the program. If you noticed EVERYONE got on the train despite some we fired Ty unfairly crap. Coach Dan (goirish 68 here at DD) and I have had many conversations about the Packers problems. He's posted Charlie Weis to Green Bay as Coach. I explained to Coach Dan, Charlie couldn't save you. A new coach couldn't save Miami and get you back for all the play schemes in the world. Green Bay Miami need an uprising in fans to change Administration and the thinking they have. Dump that good Old Boy network. THEN get a good Coach. Get all on the same page or rail road track. GB is compounded by "community ownership." So I am more doubtful all can get on that same page. Miami? Sack the President and bring in some new blood then worry about a Coach and Team.
October 5, 200618 yr Some Domer?!!??? Geez im an original on this board.Where have the good days gone hahahaha. Maybe I need to post more! Broke, Sir John, I think im slippin!
October 5, 200618 yr BG, I just looked at your posts. I was shocked to see you have less than 250. It seems like I have heard much more insight from you than just 239. By the way, was that enough motivation to get more posts out of BG?
on Armando Allen. Don't be shocked if he commits to ND on his visit.
