Per 247 article.

Maybe that’s why Elko left. Loyalty goes both ways.

Oh please teenage Jesus....please....

I never ask for much at all...

And people were made at JS for having a list of people to keep an eye on...

...always gotta be prepared

First thing I thought of was Elko, why would he stay if he's offered what he was offered and Kelly is sniffing NFL jobs? Makes much more sense now. Let's get rid of this clown sooner rather then later please. He's done at nd and if given another opportunity it's clear he'd take it. I think it's clear at this point both parties would benefit from a clean break

Don't say Les Miles or Stoops

Seriously...Les Miles is an average coach and Stoops aint comin'.

I get the hate on Kelly. But who is coming to replace him ? Little nervous

"the Bears opted to hire Matt Nagy as the 16th head coach of the organization on January 8."

Although the point is moot, it could be fun to explore who ND could have gone after.

This is an unsubstantiated rumor. Mods on 247 saying it's not confirmed and they took the article down.

Brohm and Fleck stand out to me. I think Jim Leonard will be a star down the road, but needs more experience.

Yeah...he didn't interview

I just think it's ridiculous because after 4-8 they stuck with him and the very first chance he gets he's interviewing elsewhere

FAKE NEWS

Don’t believed every ‘rumor’ on the net

NO! Jim Leonhard is way too inexperienced for a job like ND, Fleck has shown nothing to date, not saying he won't but had a bad first year at MN and Brohm is probably the best of the 3 but just don't see it right away. Plus, I'm not sold on the story of Kelly interviewing...why wouldn't an Adam Schefter, Chris Mortenson have commented? No 2 people are more wired into the NFL than those guys and not a peep. I don't think Kelly will last more than 10 years at ND, no coach has, so it is inevitable but just doesn't pass the verified sources test for me.

Trouble is, people actually believe everything they read on the internet. Sadly, there is plenty of fake news out there. Right, Mr. Trump?

I agree the source is extremely bad. However the reason many would lend credibility to it is because there's little doubt BK has been looking to get out of Dodge and to the bigs for quite awhile now. Problem is there are no takers. Kelly won't quit because of the millions he'd stand to lose. ND won't fire him for the same reasons, but will throw extensions and more money his way. Cluster****!

I'm still a little intrigued about the timing and the possibilities:

Kelly's contract runs out after 2021 season.

Urban Meyer's contract is up after the 2020 season.

I know, I know, Urbie doesn't want to go to ND. Too many negatives.

But who knows?

I was thinking the same thing. Urban knows if he wins here, he'll get a statue outside the stadium and he'll forget all of the trash he's talked about Notre Dame up to this point. I don't care if he is a gun for hire as long as he can get us 1 natty.

Lane Kiffin. Change it up with that immature little brat who can coach the sh*t out of football.
