This is even better news than Tillery to me! Give these young LBs a year to develop before throwing them in the mix.

Thank goodness

Great news! We need him back and he should shine next year

Huge news....Him, Tillery, and Tranquil all coming back. This D could be pretty good next year!

Been a while since I found myself looking for one player to watch every snap on defense-by 2nd quarter in Citrus Bowl I was doing just that with #4. He’s a beast.

It's good news but also may force some defections

I think it shows a lot about how the players feel about their new DC. Awesome news.

This is big. He could be an All-American next season under Lea.

If he plays like he did in the Citrus Bowl, he'll be a 1st Team AA and 1st Round pick in the 2019 Draft.

This defense has a chance to be special next season, I think the front seven will be one of the best in the country.

I have questions in the secondary, Love is a baller but besides him no other guys really stood out to me. Coleman and Watkins were solid but unspectacular, Crawford started hot and ended cold. I'm not sure Elliott starts on an elite defense, and Genmark Heath is an unknown but the staff seems high on him.

BK mentioned once before that Gilman would had started this year at safety. You would have to think an extra year of development should help. Hopefully, the year off didn’t stunt that growth.

We HAVE TO create turnovers and get a more consistent pass rush.

We stopped creating turnovers on defense late in the year and that is when we started losing.

Great news these D-boys are coming back to South Bend but improvement is the key!

I honestly think this is the right call. If healthy, he could rise through the draft boards with a Butkus type performance this year. Instead of a three four grade he may be looking at a 1/2.

Our safeties are a major weakness. They are not very good.

Yeah hopefully with Heath, Robertson, and Allen we can get some playmakers back there. Our guys were solid but they never made any big plays or anything really.

I didn't mind Coleman, he's got some pretty good speed.

Might want to Add Alohi Gilman in that somewhere, likely to be a starter.

Yeah either way we're gonna seem some new faces in there. I cant see teams being able to run on us so they will have to be good because they're gonna be tested very often.
