I know people hate on HH, but he was respected as one of the very best OL coaches, college or pro. He was also arguably the best OL recruiter in the country. ND's OL classes rival Bama, Ohio State, etc. Will never understand the HH hate.

Sweet baby Jesus! Damn!

Addition by subtraction, his lines have underperformed for the kind of talent he has on the line. This is great news! The Bears are gonna be worse than they were this year.

Me neither.

I couldn’t disagree more. We have lost the two single coaches we could least afford to lose. His players would kill for him and he is a top recruiter. This is a catastrophe.

This isn't definite yet is it? I thought this was speculation still at this point from "sources".

loosing HH would be a big blow to our OL and to recruiting (even though ND recruited the OL well before HH got to ND). I'd rather the bears take BK.

It’s not definite yet from what I see. We need to ante up.

I remember Bears fans cursing his name when he joined us. Lets see how it goes.

He recruited really well so that needs to be replaced asap. I won't miss the line play all that much, it can be replicated.

In other news, Notre Dame private jet and bus stolen by Max Redfield and friends. ND players to walk to all away games from now on.

Yeah the players would kill for him but how was the o line vs Georgia and Miami? He recruits well but the minute we play equal talent we get manhandled.

I would agree that NDs OLs never matched the talent but I think that's more about BK wanting to throw the ball 50 times a game and not being dedicated to a dominate running game until this season and also 2015.

Still we had two first round linemen and the best line in the country according to the pundits but got pushed around by Georgia and Miami. I agree on the not committing to the run in the past but there was no excuse for those performances. We should have manhandled them and it was the other way around.

Is Jeff Quinn still around ND? Was Kelly's line coach?

He is around. I don’t think that would be a good hire. I go outside on this one.

I agree.i think he recruited well and his top end recruits excelled. The problem is if a recruit didnt play as a frshmen or rs freshmen, he never played.

So you could say guys arrived on campus ready played but the projects never improved enough to see the field.

He had two All-Americans just this year. Does he get no credit for development?

They were borderline 5 star guys, he gets credit for recruiting them. All American or not everyone here was ragging on Mcglinchey this year and rightfully so.

I don't get it, half this board rips on Harry the last 4 years and now that he's leaving were doomed and can't do better, give me a break.
