To be honest, I already thought he was the Associate Head Coach, but I am glad he is staying and getting a well-deserved promotion. The DL really improved this year (although I am sure a lot of that had to do with Elko/Balis), but by all accounts, the players love him. He obviously loves ND, as he has been passed over twice in two years, but is staying with BK. Happy for him.

I legitimately thought he was as well. I could of sworn he was named associate HC like 2-3 years ago.

I thought he was assistant head coach. Is there a difference between assistant and associate?

Say if the head coach has two meetings at the University. Kelly goes to one. Elston goes to the other.

 

If Kelly took Leave, Mike would be the interim.

 

Elston is probably authorized to run practice in Kelly's Absence.

This is a very common title. The main assistant of the college baseball staff I’m on owns that title. Very common

So they changed it from assistant to associate?
