January 4, 20187 yr Harrison Smith just received Pro Football Focus's highest-rated season for a safety since they've been rating every play. Eric Weddle and Troy Polamalou are 2nd and 3rd and Smith's score is MUCH higher than both of them.
January 4, 20187 yr And he didn't make the pro bowl. That will show what a load of horse **** that even has become. The Vikings are noticeably disadvantaged when he does not play. He could probably get DPOTY votes too. I don't think anybody could have foreseen how good he would be. An absolute stud.

He's gotten better every year since he was finally moved full time to safety (jr or sr year, I believe) at ND. Victim of getting moved around from S-LB-S under Weis.
January 4, 20187 yr oh nice...didn't realize James Onwualu made a roster! happy for that guy It says he's a rookie, but I could have sworn he graduated after the 2015 season...I don't remember him during 2016 (admittedly, I didn't watch much of that season)
