The two others to argue against are 2012 and 2015. Both those ended on a sour note however and in 2015 our best win was Navy. The 2012 team might seem obvious but that drubbing kind of made me think we were a major fraud. We got lucky in numerous games and our best wins were not anything to write home about.

I'm not sure how the 2012 team would have done with this schedule, finishing playing 7 top 25 teams is unheard of. 4 wins over top 25 teams this year and 3 losses vs a 3-1 record vs the top 25 in 2012.

I just have a better feeling after this year with finally winning a January bowl and much more dominating wins. Beating USC by 35 was the most enjoyable ND game I've ever seen as well.

2012 was more talented IMO....better coaching staff presently I believe....I miss Tony Alford though

It's by far his best Coaching job. I'm indifferent to BK, and I won't forget last year's abortion, but 10 wins against a schedule with 7 Top 25 teams is very solid work.

2012 is easily his best coaching job. Yes, that team had some good fortune to go 12-0, but BK took ND to the National Championship Game in his third season - the first time in almost two decades ND had a legitimate shot to win it all.

After 2012, I'd go: 2017, 2015, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2011, 2016.

This season was awesome for the most part, but the November collapse was awful. But the January Bowl win puts it easily above 2015.

2010 gets lost in the shuffle, but if ND doesn't win the last four games including the bowl win over Miami, I don't know that BK is still at ND.

When did Notre Dame beat LSU in the Music City Bowl?

When did Notre Dame beat LSU in the Music City Bowl?

The 2014 season when we collapsed after the FSU loss.

There are a lot of nfl players on that 2012 ND team. A lot of them starters and some pro bowlers. Maybe this team will churn out some in due time other than of course the left side of the online, this team is pretty young. Also, that Alabama team is talked about as the best denfense ever. With that said, maybe this is Kelly’s best coaching.

Definitely 2012. Winning is what matters and that 2012 team -save the bowl game-always found a way to win.

2012 was his best team, but I still think this year was his best coaching job bc there's not as much talent.

1st - 2012

2nd - 2017

3rd - 2015

SO I LOOKED AT WIMBUSH’s FINAL STATS

2 Things jumped out at me the most

49.5 Completion Percentage

30 Total Tochdowns (16 Passing, 14 Rushing)

Goodness if this guy can learn to hit the broad side of a barn he will win the heisman....I hope he’s not doghoused for life.....if he works very hard this offseason and can prove he can hit the short slants, bubbles, curls, drags, flats.....we could be scary good next season....he’s not as bad on deeper throws when he can just naturally throw the ball....it’s those “Touch and Timing” Routes he struggles with...and they open up so much of the offense

Think about how bad he looked most of the time throwing and he STILL GOT 30 TDs

I think Book is better but the upside of Brandon Wimbush is there and hopefully they can coach him to it
