I was watching the Purdue bowl game and I think it was either after half time or at the end of the game they were interviewing the coach about the turnaround. He said the first thing they worked on before anything else was intensity, teaching the guys to just play hard.
Does anyone else feel like that is what is lacking more than anything in the Kelly era? I saw some intensity yesterday, the defense was coming after it. Elko has coached the D up on how to play hard, and they did great all year with the exception of Miami and Stanford, both of which were more likely a reflection of the turnovers / short field position than the actual D performance.
