Per Tom Loy. Grad transfer.

Not surprised and i suspect many more.

Yep. Very underutilized. His ability to return has went down drastically. Not sure if it’s in his head or what. I would assume Thomas would get the nod next year.

Seldom used NT Peter Mokwuah also transferring per his twitter this AM. The numbers crunch begins.

I always expected more of him than we got. And I have ZERO facts to back this up, but man did he seem snake bit. It felt like the last 2 years every time he busted a long return there was a needless block in the back penalty to bring it back

Mokwuah was the only recruit BVG ever landed, "stealing" him at the last minute from Rutgers. Shows just how bad BVG was at recruiting'

Sanders eemd to be more hesitant on kick returns after a few fumbles but I really think he can be a great slot receiver at the right school

Called this at the beginning of the season, don't be surprised if this guy is a star wherever he goes. I think he's the ideal slot receiver in college, it's a shame we never got him the ball in space.

The only thing that gets me is that BK has been right about players not seeing the field and transferring. I can’t think of one guy that left and became a star afterwards.

Star players don't usually transfer but i think we had a few players that left and contributed elsewhere.

Max Redfield 1st team all-american. If not for injury be he'd go in mid to late rounds. He looks the part.

Wow, great to see Max doing things with football. I thought he was done after the court ruling because I thought he was charged with a felony.

Regardless he's an NFL talent and I hope he gets a shot, we sure could have used him the last two years.

Agree her has seemingly turned the corner but shouldnt a 4/5 star recruit be a stud at D2?

That was my thought. It's not like he went back to USC and balled out.

Since 2010, here are the players who have transferred. I included grad transfers as well. I didn't include those who left the program, took medical redshirts, or didn't continue playing football for various reasons.

2010: Alex Welch (Grad/Miami OH), Andrew Hendrix (Grad/Miami OH), Lo Wood (Grad/Miami OH), Chris Badger (BYU), Spencer Boyd (South Florida), Derek Roback (Ohio), Bruce Heggie (Grad/Ball State)

2011: Aaron Lynch (South Florida), Matt Hegarty (Grad/Oregon), Eilar Hardy (Grad/Bowling Green), Anthony Rabasa (Grad/Western Michigan), Everett Golson (Florida State)

2012: Gunner Kiel (Cincinnati), Tee Shepard (JUCO/Ole Miss), Davonte Neal (Arizona), Justin Ferguson (Western Michigan)

2013: Greg Bryant (UAB), Eddie Vanderdoes (UCLA), Max Redfield (Indiana University of Pennsylvania), John Montelus (Grad/Virginia), Malik Zaire (Grad/Florida), Devin Butler (Grad/Syracuse), Rashad Kinlaw (JUCO)

2014: Justin Brent (Grad/Nevada), Corey Holmes (Grad/Purdue), Nile Sykes (Indiana), Grant Blankenship (Oklahoma), Kolin Hill (Texas Tech), Jhonny Williams (Toledo)

2015: Tristen Hoge (BYU), Josh Barajas (Illinois State), Mykelti Williams (Syracuse), Jalen Guyton (North Texas), Bo Wallace (Arizona State)

2016: Parker Boudreaux (Central Florida), Spencer Perry (South Alabama)

Kolin Hill played well for Texas Tech this year and Nile Sykes was good for Indiana but missed this year with an injury. Mykelti Williams is arguably the best player for Northern Illinois had a great season this year and was a JUCO All American last year. He would have started at safety this year for the Irish imo

Sanders was perfect for what ND wanted to do when Denbrock and Sanford were here.

When Long came and put more Tight ends and bigger receivers on the field with his version of the offense it changed the playing time Sanders could count on.

Good move for him. I wish they or someone try Sanders as a 3rd down back

i'm dating myself but that's what we used to call a guy who could catch out the back field. Example Darren Sproles.
