Apparently it has been discussed.

That is likely the position he would play in the pros, and ND has more ROVER prospects than inside guys with the departures of Morgan/Martini and possibly Coney.

A starting LB rotation of

Tranquill at BUCK

Coney at MIKE

and either Bilal, JOK, JGH or Simon at ROVER is very intriguing to me.

I like it.

That offers a lot of flexibility. I think that's a problem with our schedule is that we play a mixed bag off offenses

Yeah its something I thought about when Davis asked me a question about Daelyn Hayes.

Tranquil has 70 + tackles this year so theroretically the jump to 95 ish isn't a huge deal.

MLB gets more tackling chances than Rover.

It makes a ton of sense....I wonder what weight Tranquil will need to be a highly effective Buck....if he can get to 230+...I wonder if he can even be the Mike? Kuechly as a Soph had 185 tackles as the Mike at BC at 230lbs...so it can be done.

listed at 6-3 231, I saw him last spring, he looks like a linebacker, shouldn't be an issue.

Lot of linebackers though. I can see some transfers from this unit.

I think for some defenses he would be obsolete like MI, Stanford, etc.

Tranquill is one of the fastest players on the team.

I think he will stay at Rover although he could play the middle and will be Captain again.

Not sure how I think of this.

I think he fits ideally at the Rover position which is a mix between LB and Safety. ILB is much more downhill and I do not think he fits that mold very well. Him and Teo are very different type of LBs. Teo was the ideal ILB, not sure Tranquill would excel there as much as he did this year.
