Looked sluggish offensively at the start and were being out rebounded 14-4 about midway through the half. But the Irish are playing well with about 4 minutes left in the first, up 28-17. Colson has 12, nobody else has more than 3. Mooney and Djogo both hit threes off the bench, though. Need to keep developing those guys. The bench is way too short right now.

ND was up 44-31 about 5 minutes into the second half, but IU got hot and ND can't do anything on offense. 5 points in the last 5 minutes.

God this team is hard to watch. Rex is such a awful shooter and overall waste of a scholarship.

IU ties it up with 14 seconds left. Farrell dishes to Austin Torres who gets fouled and then subsequently misses both FTs. This was after he was responsible for letting IU tie the game. NO idea why Torres gets any playing time.

I know DJ Harvey is only a freshman and this is unfair, but he has not been good this season. Brey is one of the best coaches in college basketball, and he'll need to be for ND to make the Tournament.

Yea, I thought Burns would have more of a role this year. Mooney is a big man with no inside game. He's softer than Bonzie.

Here’s all the data you need. Against MSU ND was out rebounded 42-21. Offense rebounding was 15-5. Against Ball State ND out rebounded 40-26. Offense was 13-4. Against Indiana the margin was 41-32.

 

We only have two guys on this team that can rebound. One is undersized and the other is only good enough to play half the game. We are in for a load of hurt this year. I’m worrying about years to come. We largely brought in guards and small forwards. They all better rebound like pat connaughton or we won’t see another tourney for awhile.
