You can turn this into the Tremble is Irish thread later assuming he picks ND.

FWIW, it looks like it will be ND.

Athletic kid. Could really flourish after a RS year

Consensus 3 star recruit.

247 Composite: 3 star, #473 overall, #20 TE

Rivals: 3 star, #18 TE (highest 3 star)

247: 3 star, #17 TE

Offers: Auburn, Cal, Georgia, Michigan, Miss State, NC State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt

Also had Ivy League offers from Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton, Yale

Not that he couldn't be a great TE, but does he play defense? An uber-athletic, 6'4" 245 pounder coming off the edge wouldn't be a terrible thing to have.

Other schools offered him at WDE/OLB. ND wants him at TE

would be interesting considering how difficult ND has had in landing pass rushing DEs.

There... fixed it for you.

Yeah we already have a plethora of better tight ends who don't get used. Instead all our tight end passes go to Mack who can't catch a cold.

I don't follow recruiting but I hear all the guys here saying the staff gets picky at the end with fewer spots. My assumption is if we're taking a three star tight end then the staff isn't expecting many bigtime recruits to commit.

I like him. Very athletic, gets open, he'll be more of a pass catching player. Catches the ball with his hands. Type of Kid I think I take regardless of numbers per position because he helps the wide receiving group too.

I agree. I don’t care what his star rating is, he’s a star.

Only criticism is he looks a little small for a te, but he plays like a receiver. Matter of fact, he looks more athletic than some of the wrs on the team.

Lo l not exactly, guess we'll see. We beat harbaugh for his services in the end which is never a bad thing

This is simply not true. The staff has wanted him for a long, long time. This wasn’t a kid they offered recently because other guys said no. He’s been a top target of theirs since before the season.

They actually have a chance to end this class strongly. He was a take regardless if they end up finishing the way they want or not.

that athletism is rare. So rare that I would play him some with the varsity in fall practice. The varsity is the 2-3 deep that always travel, BEFORE I decided on a redshirt. Vegas, I'm not saying I would not redshirt him, just that I would evaluate his potiential impact as a receiving option first, like we did Mack.

But he's also a guy I would not try to build into a traditional tight end. I would have ways to get him match-ups in the slot.
