Before every game I have both Wishes and Worries

Worries:

Stanford has a +11 turnover margin. So I worry about interceptions and turnovers in general but mostly interceptions

Brice Love:

Heisman caliber RB, Really makes their team go.

Sneaky good Costello.

Guy's not the reason they win, but rarely is the reason they lose.

Timing:

Stanford seems to be playing pretty well lately.

Wishes:

Big plays: I don't think they can stay with us if we score alot.

Back to October: Wish we play them like we played USC.

Winning Turnover Margin. I think if the game is played without mistakes we'd definitely win. So as long as the mistakes equalize I see that as a good likely hood.

My biggest worry is it's big road game. We don't play well in these types of games. If it were at home, I'd say we win by 7-10.

Agreed. The environment is why the turnover margin bothers me so much. Turnovers are one measure of mistakes and mistakes seem to happen more on the road.

Think we need to pound the rock over and over. Establish the running game and don't go away from it if it doesn't work right away, or we are down by a score. This will help our young qb on the road. Our coaches have to not get nervous about the running game not working and just stick to it... Oh and dbl team that DT they have . Guy is a beast .

Play action and run Wimbush. To me this is how we win on the road.

I like it except that if we run it a ton we keep the score down. If we bust a few I can see, but the lower the score is the more likely Stanford wins in my opinion.

So I guess my request would be run or throw it deep, and playaction does that.

I'd like any interception to be an arm-punt. What? well an arm punt is a deep ball that acts like a punt instead of a intermediate pass that can be pick-sixed.

I think we are on the same page though run alot and then throw deep when you can.

Obviously if we can break the game open, do it. But after the Miami game , I'd be fine if we play for the 4th qtr. Take your shots then and see what happens. I think we are the more talented team. But we will see.

Yeah I don't want Wimbush on a 5 receiver full field read much. I'd like him to see "my first read is open, or I'm making a play with my feet"

They can work on other stuff in bowl practice but as you said play to the teams strengths, Run, run, try to hit a homerun"

My worry is that ND will lose another big game in primetime and Kelly will preach how the coaches need to prepare the team better.

My other major worry is that Kelly will be HC for a few more seasons.

Haha oh he will. This season has once again masked his ineptitude. The BK experiment will turn into an era. An era we would mostly like to forget...

Ndmike and echo with some interesting takes on our coaching situation that we have never heard before- well done fellas!

I want some of the young bucks to establish their place in the 2018 pecking order. Let's see who still wants to run the ball with authority and tenacity...

This, or Josh Adams proves me wrong that he's not gone soft. Unless he's hiding a major injury, dude is one and done after taking big licks the last few weeks. Anyone can bust a big run in open space, but not everyone is willing to pound to get tough yards.

Let's see who is...

My wish is that we curb stomp stanford.

My second wish is that Kelly throat punches that punk *** coach who said 'Bye Kelly' after last year's game.

My concerns are the refs will keep them in it like they have the last couple of times there so they can win in the end, and the fact that I will miss the game because it's a date night.

Worry: That we've played like our other 3 games in November.

Wish: That we bitch slap these fools like we did SC.

Worries- Shaw>Kelly.

Wishes- We end this losing streak at the farm.

YES... Adams is soft, he tip toes behind the line way to much, give me Jones Jr,D. Williams and McIntosh, these guy's hit the hole hard and aren't afraid to get hit

Sounds about right. The Trees aren't as good as in years past so color me cautiously optimistic. Evidently Love will suit up for them but I can't imagine him being 100%.

Which ND team shows up tonight, that's the question of the day.

This whole Adams is soft thing is ridiculous, we have no idea what he's playing through. You'd have to be blind if you couldn't see he's lost a step, and it's been stated he's been dealing with injuries all year.

9 yards a carry and was our first guy with a legit shot at the heisman but let's throw him under the bus. You've never seen him run someone over? None of our backs are on his level and we aren't in the top 10 without him. Lol what a joke

1300+ yards of gutty carries will do that to you. Can't imagine where this team would be without Josh.

What we should do and what we end up doing is almost always different in these big games. The book is out on us though and Shaw is crafty. I am worried that they will stack the line and force Wimbush to throw. I am wishing that we run a lot of play action and quick hitting pass plays. Also that Love gets banged up early. We need to keep outr defenses off the field.

Wishes.

- WIN!

- Use the run to set up the pass!

- PLAY DEX!

- Catch the freakin' ball

- Create turnovers

Worries

- They lose

- Their D-line gets manhandled

- They fall behind early and fade away

It would be nice to see the TEs more involved in the passing game to keep them honest, too. I've been waiting for this for a couple of weeks. All these highly rated TEs and they're barely utilized.

I just don't know what to expect from this team. Stanford is yet another team that always gets stoked to play ND and we can't afford to come out flat on their home turf.

Oh and if ND wins the toss and we defer I might scream, breaking a few windows and maybe some glassware in the process.
