Possibly. A lot of good two loss teams.

Sounds about right. Team definitely isn't as good as we, they, and the critics thought. Finish 10-2, get a solid bowl and win it.

I think Miami has to be up to #2. Clemson and Oklahoma would be 3 and 4.

Who cares? We got humiliated. Again.

If we play this way against Stanford, we could lose. I sure as hell wouldn't want to play Auburn in a bowl.

They should tumble to 25 ish. That’s were they belong

Yep. Another humiliating defeat on prime time. I do t want to here about ND being back or playoffs until we smash teams with an edge.

We’ll beat Navy and maybe get lucky with Stanford. But we ALL know who ND really is, a pretender. Wait until we get Auburn or Ohio St in a bowl game. Reality will set back in.

Should be one spot ahead of USC.

Dude man. Stop with reality. The mods will delete your comments.

Probably only far enough to get a date with OSU or TTU so we can get smoked on New years.

That list looks about right to me. It was a BAD loss, but we still smoked USC. #9 sounds about right. One bad loss does not undo the resume leading into the game

Right, because ND still hasn’t beaten 3-4 other top 25 teams badly.

It was one terrible game, that doesn’t erase the rest of the season. Ohio St was blown out on the road. Georgia was blown out on the road. It happens.

I keep telling myself this. And in retrospect it’s the right way to approach this loss. But, it happens so much. I just can’t see any light at the tunnel. I still see blowout losses when I finally think we might had turned the corner. I see top 10 recruiting classes and still see guys playing below their star ratings. I watch the games and still see the problems that existed from when BK first came here-motivation. We all complained about Longo and BVG for a few years. Finally, we yelled loud enough and changes happened. We finally gained success. But it’s not enough. We have been complaining about the slow drawn out run plays and how they don’t work against top competion and we have been right. But we are still running them. It’s like one foot coward and one foot back.

I’ll say this season has pleasant in being able to win against inferior opponents. And we beat two rivals. But we still look weak when the going gets tough, mentally and physically.

We're number 9 which is about right to me.

Now I haven't seen Navy play this year but the people here who have say they are weaker than past seasons. So assuming we win that we can make a big bowl if we beat Stanford.

That's a huge if for me though, Kelly has an issue playing there as we always seem to crap our pants on the farm. It'd be nice if we got an easy draw if we were to make one of these games too like UCF but we're gonna get a team who will likely smoke us.

You and Frankus are the biggest whiners/quitters... millenials...smh.

Man, they just never got that one play to quiet the crowd and get them in the game.

I just kept waiting for that play but it never came while it was still a possible contest.

Well, at least I won a Xbox One X last night in a contest so it wasn't a total loss on a personal level.

No doubt. But one bad loss can’t overshadow the entire season. It’s a big part of it, but while ND isn’t a top 4 team, they are a top 8-12 team.

They got in a bad spot, missed some plays and they got rolled. But as mentioned above, how might the game had gone different if Wimbush hits one of the three TDs he had on the first few drives? Maybe they lose 41-15, who knows, but maybe he isn’t so rattled and they play better.

I started at the bottom of the poll and worked my way up expecting us to be around 15 or so. They have been kind to us.

Win the next 2 games and we will finish the season ranked in the top 8 with a chance to win a big bowl game. They better not go into their shells now and everybody associated with that game should be spitting mad. The season is not lost yet.

I think 9 is about right - Auburn is clearly the best one-loss team. Ohio State gets ahead of us based on name - we actually have a better resume top to bottom, but we have no complaints after last night.

ND should beat Stanford. They are one-dimensional on offense (sound familiar) and very weak on defense. I have watched a couple of their games this season - ND should put up 300 yards rushing. The key will be stopping Bryce Love.

I know we haven't won there since 2007, but this is a game ND should win and needs to win. A win in Palo Alto to finish 10-2 would be a successful regular season in my book. I know circumstances changed when we were #3 in the CFP poll, but if you said 10 wins at the beginning of the season against this schedule, I would have jumped at it.

Give me TCU or Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl. Or even Penn State somewhere - not sure what bowls ND is eligible for. I would prefer not to play UCF. They would have everything to play for and would give us all we can handle. I also would not want to play Oklahoma (if they don't make it), Auburn/Georgia, or Ohio State.
