I did a Search before this and saw that there's a "Superstition" thread a little under once every other season

Thought I'd bring it back =)

My superstitions change (because they're illogical), but my current ones are:

- Wearing my 2015 "The Shirt" and I haven't washed it since the beginning of the season (starting to...uhhhh...need a wash). I didn't wear the shirt for the Georgia game, and look what happened..IT WAS MY FAULT!!!

- Sitting cross-legged (don't think that's the correct name but the non-PC term is Indian-style). Started doing it for the USC game and we've been blowing out good opponents since ten. That started because I was sitting normally when we went three-and-out and once I sat cross-legged, Darnold fumbled the ball. I'm not very flexible so it was painful to sit that way for 3 hours, but I endured for the team =). Now that I've done it for a few games, I guess my body adapted and it's not painful anymore haha

- Also, I've noticed that when I'm not home watching the game, the team usually does worse. Surprise, surprise, I'm in LA for a week (starting last Saturday) and WF puts up 38 points! I'm worried about this weekend because I have a wedding to go to that starts...you guessed it...at 5 ****ing PM PST. I will have my phone and a mobile charger with me so I can have the game on and give the team my good luck ;)

Franco - the PC term for sitting with your legs crossed is now "Criss-Cross Applesauce". At least that is what my daughter tells me.

My superstition is to not be superstition. It was just getting to be to much.

I always wear a blue or green shirt for the game and have a habit of opening my first beer when the ball is in the air during opening kickoff.

I have a similar habit when watching my particular NFL team, only the shirt is blue or gray.(Cowboys)

Thanks! haha

Yea, I always tell myself..."This is a bit self-centered of me to think my actions affect the actions of 150 other people (both teams)" hahaha

i like to sit on the edge of my seat on the same spot on the couch and i don't like to eat or drink anything during the game (i want my entire focus on the ND game, i will however get a drink of water during commercials). i also like to turn my phone to silent, don't bother me during the game.

I switched up the shirt I normally wear this Year, guess it was a good decision. Also, this year I don't open a beer until half time. Primarily due to past games being nail biters or in my case beer swiggers. Since most games have been blowouts, it limits my consumption to 1 beer a game nowadays. Win- win for me and obviously the open beer at half time ritual creates wins

lol, I've literally had some form of these superstitions throughout the years

I pinch my left nipple on offense and my right on defense.

Oh wow, please don't provide evidence for this! :-o

Another one is, I still smoke and if a game is close/in doubt, I'll go outside and light a cigarette during commercial breaks. Probably more of a habit/ritual than a superstition though.

Same outfit every game. This years "Shirt" and a pair of very comfortable Notre Dame sweatpants. I normally try to watch the game in the same spot on the couch. Also, every game day I will go out and cut the grass in my front yard and then lower the blade and cut an interlocking ND in the grass. My neighbors, who are all Penn State fans, hate it. It's a little bit crazy, at least that's what my wife tells me, but I know that I am the reason for this teams success this year hahaha.

Have none. Don't believe in them cuz essentially my superstition would be canceled out my someone else's superstition.

Shamrock pancakes for breakfast, coffee with bailey's in my ND mug, kids and I hang the banners/flags outside as a ritual, I hold my ND football the whole game while always wearing the shirt and my wife makes an awesome bean dip!!!

I've been growing my receding hair out since the first game. Suffice to say it looks ridiculous but I'm afraid to cut it now. I look like Bill Murray in Kingpin.

I gladly did away with superstitions when I realized my life is so insignificant in the big picture of my sports teams. No longer do I believe that I single-handedly fail the Fighting Irish for 29 yrs

(But you won’t find me wearing the opposing team’s colors during that week)

It kind of slipped my mind but I haven't trimmed my beard since before the UGA game and it won't happen again until "whenever". I'm starting to look a bit like your stereotypical Santa Claus at this point though.
