This guy needs to take a page from Haden's experience here or GTFO.

 

Haden was a non biased analyst and at times an unrelenting supporter of ND football even in our darkest times.

 

I feel like if Flutie or Mayock were in the booth during the Davie Willingham and Weis years it would be a 4 hour roast we'd all have to put up with.

 

It sucks because I used to like Flutie, but now I just can't stand him. I hope Al Michaels holds off his next DUI for a few more years so we can keep Tirico in the booth.

 

Maybe if Quin or Boiman improve their craft in the booth, NBC can make a run at these guys.. It would be nice to have a homer/domer in the booth but anyone that is not as biased would be great.

 

I like Todd Blackledge, Charles Davis, Gus Johnson (would be awesome), and Chris Spielman.

I really liked Mayock. Thought he had a good voice and enthusiasm also. Doesn't hurt that the man knows football more than about anyone. Would love to land him but doubtful. Tirico and Mayock would be perfect.

Signed and shared with some ND fan FB pages. Mayock was easily the most enjoyable analyst in recent years and you can't tell me that NBC can't find someone less insufferable than Flutie flakes, unless they just don't care what the fans think.

Same here...he's slightly less worse than Pollack. Can we get Jesse Palmer in the booth? His bro played for ND and he's fairly unbiased as well. FWIW, I don't think Flutie is that bad. Mayock on the otherhand...........

What’s missing is that nbc is trying to welcome the opposing teams fans. It’s not a home broadcast, it’s a neutral broadcast. Can get rid of Hayden, mayock, Flutie, mrs. doubtfire and all the rest, and it’s not going to change what NBC wants to do with the broadcast.

Which would be fine if I didn't have to listen to flutie tell me how great MSU's QB is and how Darnold is nearly perfect as both teams get Destroyed and both qbs play awful.

Somebody mentioned Rocky Boiman earlier. I haven't listened much to his ESPN work, but he is a talk show host (some sports topics) in Cincinnati on WLW and does a good job.
