Lots of ranked teams squaring off this week. Hopefully some teams will get eliminated from the CFP (Ohio State and Oklahoma), and hopefully there will be a few upsets that help ND (NC State over Clemson, Michigan State over Penn State, and Miami over Virginia Tech). Really need USC and Stanford to win this week.

Yup. Ugh, man I'm praying our SOS doesn't get hit too hard this weekend. We really need Miami to win. Honestly, feel that is the biggest one. I think Stanford will have a better chance v. WSU than UW.

I don't think a Navy loss really hurts ND at all. ND needs Michigan State, USC, NC State, Miami, and Stanford to all keep winning because those will be the big wins.

 

Obviously, having all other opponents win helps the overall SOS, but the win over Navy won't carry much weight for the Committee, regardless if they finish 9-3 or 8-4.

As long as we blow them out. But, you have to admit, they just lost to a team that was 2-5, and it does nothing to help our SOS. Navy could have been 6-2 after this one. I, honestly, feel there is nothing good that come from the ND-Navy game unless we blow them out. Timing of the game is worth monitoring also.

Hopefully, they are correct. We really need both teams to win this weekend, especially Miami. I will feel great after this weekend with a ND/Miami win, Clemson, OU, or Ohio St losing (preferably all of them.) Honestly, I'll feel much better about our playoff chances here after next Saturday.

I agree about Miami-Va Tech. The Hokies aren't getting a lot of love yet, but if they win they're only loss would be to Clemson and a win like Miami could move them way up the ladder of 1-loss teams. A Miami win would be huge for amping up next weeks game

Yup! I have watched both teams a bit and really think V Tech is finally going to expose them. That's one game we really need Miami to come through, that would give them a quality win and they'd rise in the polls I assume.

 

I will be cheering valiantly for a Miami win, as unlikely as it seems to me. If they win we might see Gameday come for our match up.

Miami will beat Tech tomorrow. I agree I don’t think they are that great of a team, but they will be undefeated when we play them.

Come on MSU, NCST, and Iowa! All those wins would be great today.

 

Will be tough to root for USC and Miami but I guess they are necessary evils today.

Iowa up two touchdowns at half, NC State up 4 and the Spartans are tied. So far it looks like we could have a few dominoes falling today.

 

I also think Wisconsin is going to lose to Michigan in two weeks, so if Penn State and Ohio State both lose that could mean big ten is eliminated.
