Starting a little early game thread here for thoughts, but also wanted to share some news with you all.

Wake’s best WR is out for year with abdominal injury. He scored 4 TDs vs Louisville.

Overall because we are No. 5 I could see sole teams getting a big head but I also think we have solid coaches keeping us honest. Wake shouldn’t be able to stifle us long enough to pull off a win IMO.

Tough, tough break for Wake Forest, But I happen tho think the defense will be fired up to give Elko their best performance of the year against his old team. They should be able to because he should know every tendency of his old team

I think we're both due for a letdown game. Their run defense is nowhere near as potent as NC State's, but since I'm predicting a letdown game, I think it'll actually a little like how NC State played out:

Start off slow, and it'll take a couple of drives to get consistency, but we'll eventually get 250+

I think we throw it more as a kind of practice for Wimbush. With WF's run defense not as good, it will give Wimbush some opportunities to test WF's secondary deep

With the fairly boring stadium environment when WF comes to ND added to your input, I can’t help to agree. This game may be a tweaking & scrimmage approach. I’ll be flying in to visit my parents & struggling HARD not to grab a ticket & swing over to watch the game to check the new scenery. My dad simply cannot attemd another big stage venue anymore & Inusually take him to see the Railcats baseball games because of the easy handicap access. Too bad, because I really enjoy conversing with WF player’s parents. They’re classy & proud parents.

This will not be the game to relax and win by a touchdown. Sadly, ND has to continue to win by 20 to put doubters from keeping ND from the playoffs.

I get the feeling it'll be like the Miami (OH) where they deviate a bit from their base Offense and try to open things up. If ND wants to have any chance at not only getting to the Playoff, but being competitive, Wimbush will have to continue to improve his passing.

Business as usual. We'll jump them early and may let some garbage scores in 2nd half..

Can't forget this team is full of scholarship athletes though that would love to spoil our season. I just don't see it happening as I haven't been around to remember any ND team this dominant in my lifetime (born in 84).

Interesting to see that Wake Forest has the #2 S&P pass offense this year.

Just put up big numbers vs Louisville, who happens to have the #122 ranked pass defense.

ND is #3 in S&P pass defense at this point, so our strength is their strength, but they just lost their best WR by far. He had about as many catches as the next three most combined. Also of note, they can't run the ball vs anyone so far.

On defense, their rush D is 45th. NC State is 43rd. Temple 57th. USC 52nd. So expect another 300+ on the ground.

On paper it is another 28 point win. What happens on the field? Who knows.

84th rush defense... i wouldn’t be surprised if Mcintosh runs for 163yds to put that icing on the cake in 2nd half

so this is the game thread for today, go Irish!!

That storm was a sign to shake down the thunder! #GoIrish!

drive started good, but I didn't like the pass to Claypool. that lost 3 yards and they never recovered.

I don't think those stupid screens have worked all year.

You can run the ball at will so I have no clue what they're thinking.

ND got awful lucky, that Wimbush fumble was bouncing loose.

I like Wimbush taking off, but he has to protect the ball better.

Wimbush is throwing the ball pretty well right now, great improvement from him.

Tony Jones has a burst now, he must have been pretty banged up to start the year.

I wish we had Stepherson for that Georgia game, so glad he stuck it out.

LOVE!!!!!

Now that guy was a diamond in the rough.

ND with an INT, and then on 1 play get a rushing TD!

Anyone, else’s nbc stream blow? I’ve, got Spectrum.

Feed is awful here in Findlay... not sure if it's just what's coming from Toledo or if it's national.
