Offensive line is pretty old.

He was saying that we are old in the one thing we do well (his words not mine) which is power running. In terms of our O line we are experienced with what 4 of the 5 being seniors or 5th yrs. So he has a point even if his assessment is incorrect on why we are good.

 

I have been curious of how well we could sustain this style off dominance in the run game next year with many new faces on the line. However, that is a concern for the offseason. One game at a time this year and enjoy the ride.

Cowherd is a USC cheer girly! He absolutely LOVES USC so yes, he's going to say that since we beat the hell out of them. Gosh, the way he used to slob all over Matt Lienart back in the day was borderline molestation!

Right, 3 starters back, assuming Nelson leaves, but Hainsey/Kraemer share time, so they’ll bring back 4 experienced OL next year.

I don't know eligibility for Bars / Mustipher right off hand but it could be C, LG, LT all replaced, which would suck. Need to get some of the younger guys in and get them some playing time. Aside from Wake Forest and possibly Navy, there is a fair chance these guys won't be getting any more real meaningful snaps between now and next year.

But at least there is an expectation and proof we can consistently block people. I'm not worried about a total collapse on the OL next year. Sure there will be some drop off, but we have 3/4 really easy games before Stanford, so they will have plenty of time to get better before the competition ratchets up.

 

We'll just need another position group to step up their abilities while the new guys grow together.

I can understand the point about being too one dimensional, but the rest is total non sense. Yeah, ND has a Sr Laden OL, but 2 of them are Fricken All Americans.

Yeah. 11 UGA starters are in their final yr of eligibility v 5 for ND. I try to believe that National talking heads really don't have an agenda, but this is pure click bait. There's absolutely zero substance to his argument.

Mustipher and Bars both have another year and are projected to come back. We play 6 on the O line and 4 of them come back plus a slew of tight ends. Let us not forget that our dominance didn't begin until we had Balis. Our freshmen have great size and I imagine they are going to explode in this next year. Adams may come back but if he doesn't Wimbush will be a seasoned assassin. Next back in will be Dexter Williams and he will be a household name by mid season. Currently we are after two highly dominant Offensive tackles.

Makes sense after starting to listen to his shows this year.

 

He has a point that most of our guys on the line will be leaving but what he doesn't know is few if any teams recruit better than us on the offensive line. We lost Martin, Stanley, Watt, Martin, and then we'll lose Mcglinchey, Nelson and then the next wave will come through. There's no rebuild on the o-line here it's just reload.

And bc they're Seniors they won't get any better as the season goes on? That's fine, I'm not sure how much better McGlinchey and Nelson can play any way, they've dominated every game but UGA.

It's like saying Tom Brady is good because he is experienced. He has capped out, not getting any better than this guys!

 

Good is good. It is college football where you play 4 years max, 3 years at best. Cowherd will have to come up with something better than that as we roll the next 2 weeks and go into Miami 8-1 and a top 6 team nationally.

I think I saw Georgia has more players in their final year of eligibility than Notre Dame does.
