They showed the post game press conference with John L. Smith. They were asking John L. about the skirmish at midfield as the Illini try to plant their flag at the 50 yard line. John L. says, and I am parapharsing, "Of course they had a right to plant the flag. They deserved to plant the flag. We were just trying to get seperated and I...(then he smacked himself hard on the cheek) got slapped." -mocking Weis. Obviously this is very bitter man who will no longer be coaching Division I after this season. The ESPN guys then went on to comment about how Michigan States has a huge character issue on the types of players they bring into to play. Rot in hell John L.

October 1, 200618 yr i posted about this moron on another thread, but its worth saying again. John Loser Smith is an idiotic, classless jerkoff that is utterly incompetent. It baffles my mind that a university is actually paying this dickhead to coach football. Although I will laugh hard the day he gets fired (presumably very, very soon), part of me will be sad because we won't be able to watch him get that pathetic look on his face when the Spartans lose another game to the Irish, and then his consequent post-game meltdown in which he actually PROVES he is an idiot by opening his mouth. With this man in charge I really felt that Charlie's profession that ND would never lose to MSU again under his watch could come true! Soon he'll be unemployed however and I'm sure MSU fans will be thrilled.
