Without the day finished, the top 15 had a pretty unimpressive day. The two legitimate title contenders are Alabama and Georgia and Penn State probably just below them. If I had to go 4, 5 probably TCU then Wisonconsin. Maybe I’m forgetting someone, but it doesn’t matter for my point here; we have a clearer view of contenders and pretenders. And in time for the USC game, I think Notre Dame looks like a potential contender again.

The pac-12 looks like garbage and you can’t reward USC for simply holding on.

A big leapfrog is possible for a team.

I wouldn’t be surprised, off the strength of Georgia as well as Michigan State and a Big BC win, to see Notre Dame move up to #10 or 11 in time for USC week.

I still worry we're a pretender.... Without a consistent passing game and worrying that the defense will collapse, I'm still cautiously optimistic...

Fair enough, every team has issues. We need to improve. But at this juncture in the season, will pollster finally recognize our body of work?

Just win is all we can do. Politics is part of the polls.

We wont be any higher then 14/15 we jump auburn but not many others

I think we jump Auburn as Hawaii said and also Washington St. That was a bad loss by them.

Washington State is gone. Washington should be as well but less likely.

We are not going to jump to 10 or 11.

I do hope that USC is top ten.

Idealy, with so many upsets, pollsters do a bit of a reset and rexamine every team. In this case, ND might get into the 10-11 range. But pollsters are lazy, so I doubt that happens and ND comes in around 13-15.

We will have a matchup of two top 15 teams regardless on Saturday. I think everyone here would have taken that at the beginning of the year.

Miami should be up to 7-8 as well. Need them to keep winning, even though I don’t think they are that great.

I think usc will be 9-11 and nd 14th. Regardless it will be a huge game, a win will almost certainly take us into the top 10

Yeah doesnt matter if we are top 10 this week. Last thing I want is us to be overranked. We have something to prove vs USC this week and pollsters disrespecting the team only adds motivation.

Most likely there will be a move into the mid teens, say 13-16. If ND keeps taking care of business the next couple, few games against better teams, I could see a move into the top ten.

We should jump both Washington schools, Wazzu got smoked by a .500 team and Washhington just lost to one too. Washington has also beat nobody and Wazzu has one win that won't look better than ours next week.

Auburn will be behind us forsure.

That's what I am expecting to see. Anything else would be B.S., especially in the coaches poll.

I usually check cbs sports and bleacher Report for the projected top 25. Not always bang on but often pretty close. Had ND at 15
