That was complete garbage. No way that should have gone uncalled. It doesn't get more egregious than that.

And the referee is right there. It's spearing and helmet to helmet.

It was an obvious cheap shot when watching live. The fact he ****ing dove like that - big ten should suspend him for at least an entire game.

There is another shot where the DB is horizontal with the crown of his helmet going for a receiver who ducked just under him.

Did anyone miss when a MSU player stomped his foot on one of our players (ala Tillery last year) while our player was down?

Meu was sloppy. Wasn't there a horse-collar tackle on the opening kickoff? A potential helmet to helmet on the first down play of the game?

This was one of their sloppier games. I usually say let boys be boys but they were going on borderline juvenile.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with these refs going back to last season, it's like they have grudge against ND. how many weren't called last year, torri hunter nearly got killed in the texas game. that non call was complete BS.

They have always been kind of dirty but this was just outrageous.

My boys and I were watching a game earlier where the guy hit the QB with his arm and they called targeting...forceful impact to the head...yet they didn't call this....absolutely ridiculous. My older boy thinks ND was partly at fault though because they didn't give the booth enough time to review it...Went to the line and ran the next play way too quickly...

Should coaches be able to throw a challenge flag to stop and point out targeting?

Even if it was after the game, that dude should've been suspended. Or, at the half. No matter, something needs to happen, because that is pre-targeting spearing. That has been illegal for decades.

I don't care for him but I won't give him grief for this one.

 

At the point he was at he wasn't likely to win but you have a young QB and you want to get some experience in your 2 minute drill. You don't just give up when the game is out of reach.

Yeah I used to not mind D'antonio but I think he's a bum now. Kelly has owned him and we tend to beat them pretty handily too.

 

They lucked out with the little giants game and playing one of our worst teams ever last season

What bothers me is they took all that time to review an actual review, but didn't bother looking at this? The officials were awful on Saturday.
