There are a couple of good websites I like to go to in order to keep up with the injury situation. This, for once, could turn out to be a big plus for Notre Dame. First and foremost we are basically injury free. The only players listed are Tony Jones, Elijah Taylor and Freddy Canteen.
Now Jones is third string and will be back soon so no big deal. Taylor would be just another back up on the DL but I think he is pretty solid. Now losing Canteen is the reason I decided to write this thread. Losing Freddy has helped the offense both now and especially in the future..
When I saw Chase Claypool was going to start I was downright Giddy. Now I think he collected about 4 receptions for just under 60 yards but that is HUGE!!!
Here are some things I noticed. Teams getting hammered with injuries include Florida State. Losing Francois was a killer but they have 15 players listed that will miss the next game. Can you imagine how ignorant were the pollsters that ranked them ahead of us?? They won't be there long.
LSU also remained ahead of us and they have 9 players listed. 3 of these players have 'undisclosed injuries'.
USC has 13 on the list and at least 3 out for the year.
North Carolina has 18 players on the list. Clemson has 8 and 6 are out for the year.
Usually the injury factor or suspension factor hurts us dramatically (especially at quarterback) but this year is starting to look a lot different and may help catapult us back into a more glorified position.
Watching a replay of Stanford and UCLA and Stanford lost their quarterback. Oklahoma has lost 5 players for the season.
This remains a viable topic as long as we stay relatively injury free. With Ohio coming up maybe we get another good week. Wimbush did take a pretty bad spill on a late hit by Michigan State but he appears fine. Season getting more and more exciting!!!
