It's funny cause on Fox three analysts picked MSU. When the game statrted and sparty came out Gus Johnson screemed as only he can: "Here come the undefeated Spartans" like they had beaten two top 10 teams. Hilarious.

To be fair to the committee they have cut through a lot of the bull **** like this. They put OSU in the playoffs when everyone called foul and they curb stomped Bama and won the NC.

 

If ND does their job and keeps their heads down things will play out. The logic in these polls juts proves they need an independent counsel to sort it all out.

FSU is 0-2 and still in Top 25? I don't care if they lost to Bama or not. They don't have their starting QB and let NC State push them around on home field.

 

ND has destroyed three opponents (two on the road) and lost a one-point game to the No. 8 team in the country (on a couple calls that were frankly borderline and bullshit).

 

Do people even watch these games?

 

Furthermore, how does LSU or Miss State get ranked ahead of ND in the coaches poll?

I would prefer that no polls came out till about October. Let the dust clear on all of the teams and get a better sense of who is decent and who isn't. If it motivates ND to be excluded from the Coaches Poll and leads to a nastier team against USC then I'm happy with that.

 

FSU has some tough games still against Miami, Louisville, Florida, and Clemson as well as Wake and Duke both on the road against 2 teams that have shown more this year so far. They probably lose at least 2 more games this year.
