September 13, 20177 yr Having trouble embedding images. Too bad, because the run play was classic Kelly/Heistand zone run failure. Why don't they go back to the running attack we used against LSU? I don't get it.. as soon as Hiestand picked up pressure we taught a simpler blocking scheme that resembled more power albeit Kelly calls it pin and pull zone which is basically power with a couple reads the lineman make.. Anywho it worked really well.. the only game we had an effective run game under hiestand against a good opponent. Warineres wanted to be an OC and he proved at OSU that Kelly was right for not promoting him but Hiestands lines are absolutely awful..
September 13, 20177 yr We have a soft, finesse offense. It is what it is. I look at Alabama or the Dallas Cowboys pound the rock against teams determined to stop the run and wonder 'what if?' Our offense would be so much more Handsome.
September 13, 20177 yr Are you like this in real life? I'm Sold that he is and that's not an Echo. He has a BigHead, you can bet on it in Vegas. It doesn't take a Rocket scientist to figure it out, 'O ye of little Faith. He's a Dangeruss poster, that's for sure, can just come over you like a Wave. Obviously he's young, an Elder wouldn't act this way during Pregame. But like a bad Tennant, I'm sure he'll be gone soon. Edited September 13, 20177 yr by corysold

Right up there with your ye old days of ND discussion boards thread. Sheer brilliance.

September 13, 20177 yr Use tinypic.com, copy and paste the message board image link here... LOL oh i thought the image omission was intentional, as in we have no run game. hahah

September 14, 20177 yr Author if you'll direct me to the image I'll give it a try Frankus. It's a series of images which look to be a designed outside run, with a pulling right guard and the right tackle and TE blocking down, which Tony Jones runs right up the gut. Could have been a Charlie Weis NFL "trick em" play hoping the inside linebacker would follow the pulling guard, but I think it's a zone read where Jones could pick any number of holes. It's the kind of play that ND can run when the can dominate all over the line of scrimmage. Against teams like Georgia, my belief is that ND would've been better off with ths being a designed run, with Dexter Williams following the right guard around the corner. I circled the pulling right guard, who ended up blocking nobody while Jones gained one yard. Waste of a resource in a slow developing play. Each post is allowed 4 images the board platform says. the way I did it was: Copy image address(available when you right click the image) Copied it between these two tags which%20means%20beginning%20of%20image%20address%20and which means the end.
