I don't have much. I know they are starting another freshman QB who got pulled the last game after 3 INT's.

Their defense is usually solid and they appear to be so far this year, Wake Forest seemed to take advantage of TO's to score 34, more than moving the ball.

I'm glad the time got switched to 2:30, that 11:00 AM start never seems to work well.

But given the fact they usually play ND closer than they should, I assume this one will end up closer than it should as well. The line was at 14.5 last I saw.

Anyone else have thoughts? Prediction thread will be up tomorrow.

even the 2012 game at BC was closer than most thought. BC always treats this game as the super bowl, ND wins easy but im not sure its a blow out.

Good point. ND has won the last five games, by 4, 18, 2, 15 and 3. So maybe they are due for a double digit win!

ND has won the last 5, but I didn't recall BC winning the previous 6 before that. ND leads overall 14-9.

Lastly, the last two times ND visited Chestnut Hill, they won by an average of 16.5. Maybe they just play them better on the road.

Kelly's record in away games is 13-14.

Yeah if there was ever a time for a blowout it would be this year.

We win comfortably and the BK apologists gleefully point to the margin of victory as a straw-grasping reason to give him credit.

ND's defense could pitch a shutout in this one.

All we need is Yoon to be on this game, LOL

Agreed. I think we score 7 times, easily. Notre dame 21 Boston college 6.

Haha I see what you did tbere that's good.

Wake just beat these guys 34-10, they'll be more up for this game but if nd doesn't win by 3+ tds it'll be disappointing

I'll be surprised if this game isn't a blowout, just give Dexter Williams some damn touches and let's figure out this passing game. I think we have 4 guys who should be ahead of Smith and Canteen, the personnel decisions going on this year have been mind boggling.

Hopefully we can bounce back. The offense needs some confidence and this game could do just that (fingers crossed).

Yeah the wr position still completely baffles me. How is it that 2 very average grad transfers are at the 2 and 3 spots? I don't know if it's poor recruiting and/or developing but what that position has become is a huge red flag for the coaching staff

No Don Brown at DC, Frosh QB coming off a tough game, our Defense Front 7 playing very well, good coverage on Special Teams...this should be a game where we play up to our ability and not down to the competition. This game is always big for both schools because of the Catholic connection but BC has been down for awhile, doubt they have much of a home field advantage. We came out of the Georgia game injury free as well so coming in at full strength. We are better across the board, just can't get caught looking ahead to MSU.

ND should win easy but there is one matchup to watch - Harold Landry vs. McGlinchey. Landry is an elite pass rusher and probable first or early second round pick next year. According to one of the podcasts (BGI or ISD I forget which) he is the best pass rusher on the schedule. He is better than anyone Georgia has at getting to the QB.

This is McGlinchey's chance to redeem himself and show he really is elite. If he gets embarrassed by Landry's speed rush then it will show Georgia wasn't an anomaly and he can't handle the truly elite pass rushers at this stage.

Other than this matchup, we can't take away much from this game unless ND looks bad. BC will be physically overmatched at pretty much every position and they should find it extraordinarily difficult to score points.

is this game on TV tomorrow in Canada?

I thought the original air time was 12 moon, but I see it's now listed as 3:30 on their yahoo schedule.

it says ESPN, but ESPN is not available in Canada. it is sometime on a different network, but I don't see it listed anywhere.

Might be on one of the TSN channels. If not type in college football streams on reddit and there will be a list of threads with every game.

Any ND game usually has around 20 or more streams posted and there are usually a handful that are very good. You can catch any game on there if you'd like.

I'd love to yank that plaid sport coat over his head and punch him in the face like Happy Gilmore...

I love the parade of excuses already being spewed. "Addazio will be ready for us." "BC always plays us tough."

Addazio barely beats NIU and crushes Wake by over 3 touchdowns....but BK lets Irish fans that apparently Addazio didnt care about those games. He doesnt try unless hes playing the Irish. STFU.

I wish it was the old Lou Holtz anyone can beat us humble act, but alas, it isn't.

The beat writer for the Eagles did a question and answer with the guys from One Foot Down. A few of the better questions/answers below:

3. Offensively, what are BC's strengths? Should ND's defense be more worried about Anthony Brown and the Eagles passing game, or guys like Thadd Smith, Jon Hilliman, and AJ Dillon trying to wear them down on the ground? Who are the best players ND will need to contain on Saturday?

Strengths? Lol. I guess if Anthony Brown can make a few plays with his arm that would be a "strength," AJ Dillon is pretty solid as well as Kobay White even though he had a brutal drop.

No, they should not "pound" them on the ground especially given the play of the offensive line — that hasn't worked at BC in years. They need first downs and they need more explosive plays.

11. Give me a prediction for the game - I need a score, a winner, and your reasoning.

BC is going to get trucked. I am a sad and defeated man. I am going to go ND 42 BC 10, with the Eagles scoring a garbage touchdown at the end of the 4th quarter.

12. Anything else ND fans should know about BC's team, coach, program, traditions, fans, etc.?

We would like to be good again. That would be nice.

We should see lots of Dexter Williams after the uproar....

I also agree with the poster that we have seen next to nothing from canteen and smith.....and hope some other guys get some throws and run some routes

We should win fairly easily but that won't do much to wash away the dirty feelings from last week...

maybe if we can get to 3 or 4 wins with only the 1 point loss , that might get a bit of hope percolating

aloha

Yeah, if there's anything BK responds to it's uproar from the masses. This idiot wont change a thing if he doesnt think he needs to...

Fixed it for you.

I'm not really going to feel hope by beating a bunch mediocre teams that ND should beat. In year 8, hope at Notre Dame should be getting into the playoffs. ND needs to get to 11-1 for that to happen, which is extremely doubtful.
