Oline; I praised you last week, this week I take it all back

wide receiving corps; We recruit all of these big and tall wideouts that don't do anything. A small former walk on is best bet. Play Finke please.

Wimbush: what in the holiday hell is going on with him? I don't see a big arm and a lot of his passes hang in the air begging to be intercepted. I can see Book replacing him if he don't tighten up. I know the oline sucked but brandon was bad as well.

The Oline: They are gonna get that kid killed. they can't pass protect or run block

Alize. Not living up to the hype son. Not living up to the hype.

ND fans: It sounded and looked like we were playing in Georgia. Pathetic.

ESPN: I'm not one of those conspiracy people that think espn hates my team but---Last week the highlights didn't show how good we played and tonights made it look like we were never in the game much less winning for the most part.

The offense: was all of those runs by Wimbush designed or did he go malikzaire on us? esb is a good number 2 wideout but he's not #1 talent I don't feel.

Hard to argue with those. I thought Wimbush tried to run the ball outside way too much and Georgia was ready for it. The big boys on the OL performed like the mostly inexperienced group they are.

I couldn't get over all the red shirts, there must have been a bunch of people selling their tickets ahead of time or on site.

Book should have seen some PT at some point when it was clear that Wimbush was in over his head, for no other reason than to give him a chance to gather his thoughts. It may be another case of a young guy that has all this physical ability but still can't put all the pieces together.

Bottom line, the offense looked as unprepared as I've seen it for awhile. Maybe they thought everything would just take care of itself, I don't know.

That's all I have right now, I'm going to bed and am looking forward to a hangover in the morning. Ah well.

The sad thing is, Georgia is not a particularly good team. Good, solid front 7 and a good RB and that's about it.

I thought Book played better than Wimbush in the spring game. Wouldnt mind seeing some of him in future contests.

Finke is our 2nd best WR, walk on or not. Play him.

Let me get this straight, based on the Spring Game, you want to see Book playing over Wimbush when the game is on the line? (Serious question) or simply in mop up time? And is this based on just last night's game or the body of work for Wimbush thru 2 games this year? Thanks.

So true. He reminds me of Baker Mayfield in his size but ability to lead.

Also, should be playing Sanders more along with Finley. At this point, you don't want to play Stephenson, fine, then you better have ESB, Finke, and Sanders out there. And get rid of the read option all together.

I think his point is parallel to the fanbase opinion on BK. When someone isnt getting it done, there is no harm in trying something that could work. A different coach could be an improvement depending on the hire. A different QB could be the spark we need to get a viable offense going. No guarantees unless you stick with what isnt working.

Its completely reasonable to want kelly gone in year 8, seems like a stretch to say the same thing regarding wimbush after making just his second start

Im not saying bench Wimbush and give up on him. Im saying you let another QB get his shot because it cant hurt. Right now Brandon cannot hit receivers consistently and he has that EG deer in headlights look that Im pretty sure BK must teach....Ive never seen such a long line of QBs go from super talented to below average under a single coach.

I agree, even if it was just tossing Book in for a series to let Wiimbush get his head straight because he looked like he was ready to run for his life before the ball was even snapped. You can have all the athletic talent in the world but you have to have some good old intestinal fortitude to play football at this level.

Well, at least Tom Rees is the quarterbacks coach now.

Argh.

Enduring the condensed replay on one of the local stations and the offense looks worse while sober. Less than 2 YPC is not going to get it done when the opposing team is averaging over 4.

Perfect summary of our quarterback.

Kelly is always fighting a PR battle so he'd probably be afraid to bench brandon out of fear he'd get ripped for it like last season when he put zaire in the game.

Spot on about the o-line and ESPN

There are things I didn't like from Wimbush, most of all short throws to Receivers, unless they were spot throws and the Receivers were running past the spot. However the message it would send could be awful to the locker room after 2 games of the guy's tenure. I've seen nothing to suggest he be pulled thru 2 games. Of course he needs to play better but Book will not be an upgrade, particularity based on practice where he's likely getting no more than 1 out of 10 reps with the First team. Too soon for day after loss points like these.

This. Wimbush had a below avg game, but he didn't get any help from the staff, run game, or OL. Now, if he has a repeat performance v BC, we can talk.

I don't think anyone's willing to yank Winbush yet, I think we've seen in the small sample size of three games he needs a lot more practice time throwing to receivers to get his continuity down. Also, just knowing how to take control of a game. When to dive for a first, change his cadence, hold the ball longer on the read option. All things I think he needs practice on. But I agree, I don't think Book is the answer but he could be one of those guys in a pinch to lead a drive or two.

Damn... Here we go.

GOLD STARS:

defense: in the first two weeks I've been pleasantly surprised with how good the defense has played, no way did I think they could slow down ugas' running game. the defense was the only reason this game was close. as of right now jay hays is the most improved player on the team. also how good was the tackling in this game, just amazing.

punt coverage: the nd punt coverage was awesome all game long vs uga, there returners couldn't shake the nd defense to save their lives.

Justin yoon: yoon looks to be back to his normal self.

FROWNY FACES:

the OL: they couldn't do anything, they could pass protect and they couldn't run block. I thought this group was suppose to be good, right now mike mcglincy isn't as good as the NFL scouts think he is.

the wrs': can somebody please step up to be our #2 wr please, ESB cant do every thing himself. what is going on with alize mack, I thought he was suppose to have the best hands on the team.

kickoff coverage: until nd learns to cover kickoffs better can we just have Justin yoon kick the ball through the endzone please.

ND fans: seeing the entire stadium painted red again just made me sick.

Georgia presured and punished Wimbush as badly as I've ever seen an ND QB get it. I think the kid is tough as hell. I don't think he's as good a passing QB as Kizer, but this offense is more dependent on the QB run. So, only time will tell how Wimbush does with that balance, but I wouldn't use the Georgia game to draw any conclusions.

As for Book, I think Georgia would have killed that poor kid. He wasn't going to do anything Wimbush couldn't, due to the pressure. There' no way he'd have gotten outside the edge. He wasn't going to throw like the spring game in his red jersey after having his head caved in a couple of times. There isn't any ND QB in history that was going to excel under those conditions.
