I wanted to post this before the end of the game so my judgement isn't clouded

I was never impressed with Wimbush and I never understood what people saw in him. Here's what I've been seeing since 2015 (and what I still see now):

Rocket for an arm

Pretty fast

Not decisive with his runs; dances around too much

Can't stay on his feet to get extra yardage

Doesn't make good decisions

Doesn't progress through his reads

Doesn't have any touch on his throws...he seriously just rockets his throws in there. Good thing we have good receivers

Has mediocre accuracy

Seems to take half a second to decide what to do (run or throw)

I honestly don't see him being the answer at QB and I honestly think he will probably cost us games

I agree on Wimbush.

BTW, this is the worst play calling that I have ever seen. Wimbush is not calling audibles so it has to be called by someone other than Kelly.

Not getting any help with the play calls.

Also, probably should stop letting UGA get free shots at him.

Brady Quinn and Jimmy Clausen didn't exactly have stellar starts let alone first years. Be patient - second start and he's getting bull rushed and no run game.

I mean he physically is nothing special but considering the (lack of) blocking and zero run game, he's doing just enough to get the job done and as a young player still I do find that impressive.

Georgia does have a sick defense btw. Though, the play calling has been awful.

Second start ever against a tough sec defense, wouldn't give up on him based on this one performance lol

Play calling definitely isn't helping. I'll admit it's terrible. But he takes forever to make decisions and when he does make a decisions, it's usually bad. And yup, I even saw it during temple. It's just that temple was terrible so it's easier to hide

More drops. At least 3 tonight.

Naw it's not just this game...you can see it even during the Temple game. It's just not as apparent because of the talent discrepancy

Going to make a bold prediction, but Wimbush probably doesn't end the year as the starter

Indecisive, holds on too long, makes bad decisions, and is not accurate. All issues I had with him in the spring game and to boot he did nothing in the run game.

I was always a Book fan and still am but I'm not calling for a switch yet. Having no run game and the bad play calling did not help but I know Book is a better passer.

The biggest issue for me is no caries for Dexter Williams, that is unacceptable and probably changed the game.

Don't necessarily disagree but no offense to book, he's not winning more then 7 or 8 games, although I'm guessing wimbush won't either

Yup...to clarify, I'm not saying we should make a switch

OL was very unimpressive.

Lost the line of scrimmage when we had the ball -- Georgia defense dominant. Wimbush wasn't very good, but was getting pressured all night and there did not seem to be much separation from the WRs. That said, he has got to be able to protect the ball better in the pocket.

Proud of the ND defense and Elko..they did a great job tonight. Good home win for the Bulldogs...tough loss for us.

Same old Brian Kelly offense. Can't run the football. Throw the ball 39 times. Loss. It's hard to blame Wimbush when for a lot of his throws he didn't even get a chance to set his feet.

I love you Franco but this is a bad thread. He is making his second start. The line was awful and the play calling was poor at best. Why did Williams get zero tickets carries? Georgia showed a clear picture of what you need to do with your backs. How about a damn change of pace back? How about protecting the QB? Wimbush will be fine if he gets protection, he looked like he was playing for the GD Browns tonight.

This loss is not on Winbush, it is on the OL and the coaches for not utilizing our best athletes on offense. Where was Dexter Williams, it was obvious that Adams was not quick enough against the Dawgs D. Has their been a Stepherson sighting ? this is getting beyond annoying, whatever it is that keeps him stapled to the bench.

This was the best defensive show I have seen in the Kelly era outside of 2012. I saw some great things and if not for some ref-aid I would have called it a damn near perfect game. As much as you could ask out of those guys.

You can not let your QB get blindsided like that when your D buys you a chance, it CRIPPLES morale.

Defense deserves big props--they played really really good, offense kept putting them back on the field and we still had many chances to win....

On the other hand

A COMPLETE OFFENSIVE FAIL yes Georgia is good on defense but this was

COMPLETE FAIL---Poor oline play mcglinchy was AWFUL in complete cement

Wimbush was kinda awful makes us realize how freaking good Kizer was

Dropped passes----

Poor adjustments by Longs offense---NOT ONE CARRY FOR DEXTER---don't even try the change of pace

NOTHING GOOD FROM THE OFFENSE

In a weird irony the offensive collapse was the other side of the coin of the defensive collapses we had for the last 2 seasons

Props though to the defense and YOON who would have won the game if we could have done anything on offense

aloha
