LasVegasIrish 0
One of the gripes I've had about ND recruiting of late is not protecting the home state. 2016 and 2017 classes saw no Indiana players sign with ND. They need to get back on track with these guys. ND has a great chance with Cam McGrone, Donald Johnson and Paul Moala. They need to land all 3. The 2019 class has the chance to be very good for the state. WRs David Bell and Craig Young both have high interest in ND. DEs Beau Robbins and George Karlaftis, same thing. tneun89 1,118
Big misses in Austin Mack (2016 - OSU) and Hunter Johnson (2017 - Clemson), and a decommitment from Pete Werner (2017- OSU). Other than that, I don't remember ND having too many in-state targets the last two cycles. I don't really remember Auston Robertson's recruitment - did ND back off or was the interest not mutual? In 2015, ND landed four of the top six players (according to Rivals), although only Asmar Bilal and Brandon Tiassum are still on the roster after the transfers of Mykelti Williams and Josh Barajas. In 2014, Justin Brent was the top player in the state, and Drue Tranquill was ranked sixth.

Definitely have been hugely successful in the past, but the last two cycles were bad. Got in too late with Russ Yeast and Mac Hippenhammer last year as well. I think they get back on track this cycle tho.

It's like recruiting Rhode Island. Who cares...

I do not have time to do it myself but it would be interesting to see the number of 4 and 5 stars from Indiana by year over the last 10-15 years. ND has not done all that well at getting home grown talent. https://n.rivals.com/state_rankings/2018/indiana

Seems like on average 4 or 5 4/5 stars a year
